Ye I'm sure that when the time comes I'd buy into a "Founders" program
On the condition the game keeps making progress we all want it to.

If we pilot a Dragon Mech, can we get a True (FN)Dragonborn Mech..
"I would of been a founder but i took an MG to the knee.. "
Had to say it, sorry for trolling you post.. but the Trueborn thing...

To be honest, I regret that I didn't joined the founder programm. Would buy a similar package offered for IS ("Supporter Package" or something similar :-) ) and a clan founder package.
Similar pricing and content like the original deal given.

If you want to define 'Pay to Win', how about "I drop $100 and you give me vastly superior Clan tech". Paying your way into the Clans is, at best, a poorly thought out idea. Since we don't even know how PGI is going to handle the Clans in the first place, this idea is also premature.

I think they should reveal that everyone who bought the original founders packages will be the clanners. That would serve to limit the number of clanners and keep everyone happy :D.

All the poor plebs can get a 1 in a kajillion chance of MAYBE getting ONE clan tech part once every year. And when they get destroyed in battle, there'd be no repairing it.

MWAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAAAA > >:D >:D.

Naturally being a LEGENDARY founder would make you a Galaxy Commander with a shot at becoming a saKhan :).

Oh come on, don't be naïve. It was never even remotely possible that they WOULDN'T do that, and given their recent attempts at PTW, its even more of a lock that they will at least TRY to... whether or not they listen to the inevitable outcry remains to be seen (signs point to yes, but by then we may have pooh poohed enough of their attempts that they'll be desperate for cash and go through with it anyway).

"Let's just accept the bull-#%*^, because our jaded and cynical nature says it's coming anyway" is not a philosophy that most people on these forums seem to subscribe to, or many people would have a much lower post count.

WHEN we learn how PGI intends to determine which players will be in the Clans, we can come up with ways to make it interesting or even profitable without this kind of absurdity. Perhaps some kind of 'upgrade' package once someone is ALREADY a Clanner? That would be a bit more palatable for me, at the least.

If I had the money yes, would trade my Founders pack for a Clan founders pack which would really just be swapping my Hunchie for one of the Clan mechs. Unfortunately that would make no financial sense for PGI so they should not do it. Possibly go Elite again unless they also offer a mech with veteran.

Personally, I'd like something along the lines of this.

$59.95 each, All for $199.95 (Trueborn Revival Pack)
All Mechs have have 20% XP and CBill/Honour Boost

Clan Jade Falcon Pack
Kitfox
Summoner
Jade Flacon Camo

Clan Wolf Pack
Nova
Timberwolf
Wolf Camo

Clan Ghost Bear Pack
Firemoth
Kodiak
Ghost Bear Camo

Clan Smoke Jaguar Pack
Storm Crow
Warhawk
Smoke Jaguar Camo

I REALLY wanted to put a MadDog (my favourite Mech) in here, but the Timberwolf would be a given, and the Summoner is more iconic of the Jade Falcons.

I'd whip out my VISA so fast my wallet would burst into flame.

A founders pack awarding a couple Clan mechs a bit early? Oh hell yeah. TAKE MY MONIES PGI TAKE THEM ALL!

Good idea, however I would not purchase until hero mechs are available (in literally ANY scheme PGI is comfortable with) for c-bills like every other thing that affects a match.

According to current vote stats, if packages were sold to members revenue would be approximately $33,030.

...until some percentage nerdraged about some decision then demanded a refund.

How many nerdraging idiots have ever got a refund?

Seriously, game doesn't work? Refund, definitely. Game changes in a direction you don't like? Too damned bad.

Quite a few "Former Founders" got refunds, and not because "game didn't work" but because "game went in a direction they didn't like."

Anything else you'd like to know?

Clearly, then, PGI is a lot nicer than people give them credit for. They certainly aren't obligated to do that.

It's more clear cut here, too - you can play the game, you can see how it's been developing. You wouldn't be putting $ into this under some false pretenses.

However small that number of "refund" players were, that did not change the fact they sold over 5,000,000 worth of packages.
