so you want to dump more money on a developer that so far hasnt shown improvement with the current money they were given and to a publisher that took most of the original founder money and repurposed it....

something something Einstein on the topic of doing the same thing over again somthing something.

The idea of the Founders packages were to seek investment on an unreleased game to help with development. The packages are rewards for those willing to take the risk that the game would be dropped from production before being playable. MWO is well established now as playable, and so there is little or no risk to reward with a package of similar type for what is essentially an expansion pack to the real game. Indeed, all you are doing is saying 'I wish to purchase a Clan Battlemech', not 'I am going to invest my money in your game, even if I don't get a chance to play'.

Releasing a Founder's Pack after the game is established would be a slap in the face for all those who actually put their money on the table before the game was viable. The Packages were 'thank you' items for investors, not a means to gain special mechs. You want that, go for a Hero mech.

In short, anyone taking advantage of this would, in no way, be a 'Founder', and should not receive such a reward.

I don't see how this is a slap in my face. I own two legendary founders packages. You're saying if they release any "combo" style packages that include battlemechs and a unique camo pattern in tiers would slap you in the face?

Please educate me in how the game "so far hasn't shown improvement" from open beta launch (founders assets) till now.

I know it did and it is much better now. But there is still a lot of wrong things with it and I am losing hope.
Don't get me wrong, I hope for great success but at this point it is 50/50.

You have nothing to worry about. I know from closed beta to open beta there were tons of improvements. From open beta till now, easily thrice the content and improvements. We're still in open beta, looking backward and forward at the same time I know roughly what this game will be once it's completed....nothing short of amazing.

This poll brings up many issues for me. My unit is a Wolf's Dragoons unit. We have ties to all the clans and to all the factions. We have true and freeborn in our ranks. I would outfit my entire unit with Clan tech if possible, but at the same time, we look forward to fighting the good fight against the clans (and are seriously frustrated that we're not already on the front lines - where's CW?????)

So, what would I purchase? My fictional backstory says I'm from the Smoke Jaguar, but in the timeline, we are contracted out to House Steiner/FedCom. I certainly don't want to betray my friends in House Steiner, but if some players have access to clan tech and others don't: what kind of merc commander would I be if I didn't find a way to kit us out with the best killing machines out there? I do not want to lead my men into the slaughter of targeting computers, Ultra AC20's, Longer ranged pulse lasers, and Streak 6 packs - that would be irresponsible. I KNOW what the clans have, because I was born into the clans. But as a Dragoon, our job is to prepare the Inner Sphere for the onslaught of the crusader clans.

Perhaps I can secure some of those omnimechs Outreach is manufacturing for use with my units. Wait, you don't know about that....

If my mech could be a Warhawk Alt. Configuration C, I think we're in business...

Understandable on having issues. Lets just say for the examples, Wolf's Dragoons is a mercenary unit. So, you would purchase "wolf's dragoons" once it was available under mercenary units.

Clan yes, Factions I do not really get the concept. They are already releasing achievements for faction colors and patterns with CW. What would a faction pack net you?

I think they will likely just do a package MC/Premium/Colors/Vanity items if anything.

My choices under the Dragoons, I fear, would not be so great. Despite so many fans of it, the annihilator is one hideous looking mech. Looks like a bird that's been pooped on or something. The Flea, another one the Dragoons are known to use, well, is trash. Now, if I could have a Marauder II, then we're back in business. Oh, shizzle yo! That's unseen. Maybe we'll get the IMP instead...

On a more serious note, with their statement that they're not going to rewind the timeline (last of the consolidated questions here) I have to wonder if they're going to introduce the clans AFTER the battle of Tukayyid, in which case they can use war salvage and the black market to allow everyone to earn them like MW4 Mercs. If that is the case, though, why bother producing any more inner sphere mechs, because no one will want them. I guess we'll have to wait and see, damnit.

Yeah. I really hope they don't do that.

I have to imagine they'll consider the MW3 and 4 eras as new stages for the game. Almost expansion territory. New mechs, new faction organization, new factions, etc...

Voted no to clan because I like Davion, but voted yes to support this idea.
Voted for elite, but it would really depend on the mech. That should be an option in the poll.

I was not having a good night tonight. Mech was a bad variant for Tourmaline and my teams have pretty much sucked all night.

Understandable. I wanted to keep the voting options as limited and direct as possible. I added a "Depends" button for you.

Yep. I'd purchase Legendary for at least one faction, possibly all, depending on what mechs were available.

Oh dear...
Just been doing my homework and the Inersphere does not have a chance.
Lol. Go Clans!
Yes definitely! I prob. wont get the Legendary pacage, but I will be getting Elite. Seeing as I missed out on Founders because I had not yet played the game, I need something that will tell players that I have been playing this game since open Beta! (In ten years time!)

yeah i built my new pc just for this game and when I finshed it the founder program was over. soooo........ please please please give us a Clan founder package.

i wouldn't buy any of this, simply because i bought a founder's package under certian conditions from back then, but then those conditions got changed by PGI. For example: they said being a pilot in 1st person vision mode would be ONE OF THE PILLARS of this game.
Now they are going to implement 3rd person and give a **** about what they said earlier. I can't take it for granted now, that CW will be what it is when it begins or even what it is 'supposed' to be (once they actually give us information about it at all - which they probably aren't doing because they know they talked ******** with their design pillar blabla and now changing it is nothing but a pure lie to the founder's and everyone else)

I don't recall them ever saying FPV is a pillar of the game. Do you have a transcript of said video, or a link?
