I had the same feeling that mech 20 was going to arrive with the first clan mechs. Does anyone know what mechs were present when the clans were first encountered in IS space? Might give us a clue as to what 20 might be. Probably it's fiction story will tie into something about the clans.

Like all conspiracy theories, I want to believe this. I want to think that something this grand and awesome is taking place behind closed doors as we speak. Unfortunately, just like reality, I'm sure that the mundane reality of the world will win out in the end and this is all just delays due to the typical game development cycle.

That's more or less what I would do if I were in charge of PR/marketing. Use ISN to hint that something big is coming; start releasing distorted photos or video of "unknown" mechs that have been spotted at the edges of known space, then one day drop a whole load of clan mechs and CW on the community, and watch everyone go into shock.

Your comments on battlemech #20 and 21-24 make sense. Considering I previously mentioned them releasing Clan mechs in waves of 1 light, medium, heavy and assault a piece for 4 months straight (then community warfare will hit during the second phase of the clan invasion later this year) bringing this all to a head. By that time we should have all 20 IS mechs released in anticipation for the Clan mechs.

Who knows.

Holding out on Mech #20 for almost 3 months is very much a crime...

And PGI has very much conspired to withold it from us...
