With mechs, there needs to be clan mechs and tech, if not a current series of mechs that cover more missing tonnage gaps and roles.

Do you consider the game a finished product now? After 1 year of development? OK. Why are you complaining then? It's finished! You can't expect anymore content, the game is finished after all. Now we just need like, 1 or 2 fixes and it's set to go for the ages.
What is odd, however, is having a beta that's not feature complete. Normally you'd call what we have here alpha.

The game will not be fully "Released" until community warfare is implemented.

Oh thank god, at least a reasonable post. Why do people assert that the ability to give a company money, means a product is out of a development stage? You are quite right, this would technically be an alpha, as all features are not in the game, beta would be when all promised features are included (that means you CW,DX11 can come too). The game can remain in the "beta" state as along as they are fixing and patching major bugs and issues. When this game is just "hiding" behind a "beta shield" is when the only update in a patch is cosmetic UI changes or something trivial like that.
If you buy in to the horrible logic prevalent in this thread. When Minecraft first did a "Alpha Stage" buy-in, they were actually a gold release. Which is not true. If you bought in, you were supporting a concurrent development process. Which is the case here. If you "buy in" you are supporting a concurrent development process, of a game, currently in development.
Damn you Minecraft, now everyone wants their fans to support them during a concurrent development process. CONCURRENTLY, ERGO,VIS-A-VIS !!!!!!!!!!

I bought into minecraft all those years ago, and still play it,
I will keep playing MW:O until its released, and probably long after,
I still play MW 4 Mercs, I like big stompy robots,
I will likely buy MC during the next sale. I want this game to get finished and flourish.

Since practically all f2p games (as well as subscription games) are in constant development do they all never leave alpha stage then?
In the market that MWO is in it counts as released and that's all which matters.

Well your wrong. The initial content promised for a version 1.0 constitutes a gold release. Any additional content released is know as DLC or an expansion or more content, it is not know as a never ending alpha.
Your opinion of what MWO counts as in the market it is in is irrelevant, never mind wrong. All that matters are the facts. Nice try.

Also development stage ends when they stop feeling the need for lab rats to test the core functions (state rewind which is going to be applied this month), and so on.
this threads never gets old btw

MWO release was promised for last summer and all the content that was promised for release is in the game (and more). So you just confirmed the game is released. Thanks.
