Your ELO sucks when you see players firing LRMs either under 180 meters, without lock, or without tracking them all the way to their target.

Some people just don't know how to use LRMs, and MWO needs to have a tutorial explaining all this already.

It can be a great ideal to dumbfire lrm's. You just have to pick appropriate targets. Such as a PPC stalker motionless on a hill, or a slow Atlas.

If you're dumb firing, there's no incoming missile warning, and against a distant d-dc you may be unable to get a lock.

Also, between 180 and around 250m, it's easy to hit most people with dumbfire lrm's anyways so there's no need to wait for a lock.

You got the only three kills on your team in a Spider 5V, and one of them was against a 3L that literally stood in one place the entire fight.

Lol. Ravens standing still are just about as survivable as Ravens moving anyways. I can't wait for a raven hitbox fix.

Lies. I'm pretty sure the higher your ELO, the harder time it has finding legitimate opponents, and the more often you'll get tonnage disparities.

Edit: To be fair, they had an Atlas K, so there was clearly something wrong =P

You know your ELO is bad, when the last two mechs on the field has a favorable matchup on one side and then facepalm when the match totally goes the other way due to pure incompetence.

I watched in horror the other day as my team (an Atlas and K2.. working together no less) lost to a sole surviving trenchbucket from the other team....

Accidentely dropped in a Pug last night in my D-DC. Loaded me with 6 other (no assaults but me) players...two of which were running there very first match and needed help with what to even do (everyone on both teams were very helpful btw). Opponents of course got the full 8, 2 D-DCs, a -K, and a PPC stalker. 1k+ damage later...I lost...lol...dunno if that means ELO was working or not, but it was actually a fun match.

Test firing weapons is fine, when I get a new setup I try to see which weapons are on which arm to group them properly, its only bad when you start seeing "Player one has just killed Player one" 30 seconds into the battle..

You know your ELO ranking is bad when one of your teammates is running the slowest engine possible on their chassis.

you know your elo is bad when... you're stuck with children heckling you in match and full conviction in their minds that it is.

You, actually, know your ELO is not that bad when you start with newbies. Everybody starts at 1300, so you're somewhere in the middle :)

actually...it completely depends on the other team's compostion, not just your own :)
You+newbs vs. Fully Decked out Assaults etc
You+newbs vs. 8 trial mechs
Big difference in what your ELO really is...
