You really don't need a truckload of weapons. An AC20 or a pair of UAC5, triple SRM4/SRM6 and whatever spare weight you can give the two arm hardpoints.
Which is still a truckload of weapons.

Yeah, leave the warship designs to the Stalker. It has all those hard-points stock.

350 std
18 DHS
endo
ECM
2 ERLL
AC10 & 2 tons ammo
3 SSRM2 & 2 tons ammo
592 armor
Will overheat if you go nuts with the lasers. I've tinkered with it a lot. Used to have twin AC2, which I dropped for an LB10X, and finally went for the straight AC10. Also used to pack 18 SRMs, but I found the streaks a lot more effective. My most recent change was altering the ammo load out from 45/100 to 30/200. I lean heavily on the streaks, and found that I'd run out of ammo for them long before the AC, so I made the logical change.

My two cents: you should consider upgrading at least to an AC/20. It's only 2 tons and 3 slots, which you should be able to get from somewhere. If your focus is more midrange (it seems like that's what you're going for, but correct me if I'm wrong) twin UAC/5 is really really amazing. The range of a gauss rifle and 2-4 times the DPS depending on how many jams you get. They also run really cool so that might help you out with those heat issues.

Where would I scare up 2 tons from? The only place I can think of is to drop the engine rating. Which I just cannot justify doing, the heap is too slow as is. But I've found it performs just fine as an all'rounder. The way it is now, I simply can't justify changing it. It just works for me.

I like Hemstif's suggestion

If it were me, I'd drop a DHS, drop the leg armor to 49 each (I used to run this on my Atlas and I think I got legged once), drop the arm armor to 60 each, and put a couple of points into CT armor, but there's a bunch of valid ways to do it.
