Darn it, I don't think my rig will run it :(

Crysis Warhead uses the CryEngine 2 not the CryEngine 3.

Only Crysis 2 uses the Cry Engine 3 so that should be the "starting point".

A Q6600, 4GB of Ram and a GTS250 should have no problems running the game using DX9.

Cheers

Was just about to type what this guy said. Crysis 2 should be your starting point, NOT Warehead. Cryengine2 is actually LESS optimised so will probably run worse than given the same settings and isn't a good benchmark. That said, I will assume that MWO will utilise DX11 out of the box (unlike C2) so you should judge your rig based on max settings and take it from there. - especially if its going to use tessellation (fingers crossed!).

Im running on a 560ti and it runs C2 pretty well on max settings, 1080p. They can be had fairly cheap now, but if I would say one thing is that 1GB RAM on the card simply isn't enough - this card regularly runs into memory issues once AA is introduced.

Yeah. Everything should run nice.

CryEngine 3 Minimal System Requirements for End User

Operating System - Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7
Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz, AMD Athlon 64 X2 2GHz or better
(multi-core processor is strongly recommended)
Memory - 1 GB RAM (2 GB recommended)
Video Card - NVIDIA 8800GT 512MB RAM, AMD 3850HD 512MB RAM or better (SM 3.0 minimum)

4GB of Ram should be enough. It is also important what kind of Ram. You can't compare 1GB DDR1 (200MHz) to 1GB DDR3 (1600MHz.).

The OP said he has a Core 2 Quad, so that's all DDR2. And most likely around DDR2-800.

DDR was typically between 266 and 400, not 200. And DDR3 is typically between 1333 and 1600 for most systems, though every DDR type has a wide range. It might confuse you to know that DDR and DDR2 had less latency than DDR3, but couldn't match its bandwidth. Considering the system memory usage of games that don't use more than 2GB anyways (if they're 32-bit, which is a majority), lower latency plays a big part in the overall performance. Also, the number of channels matters even more (single, dual, triple, or quad). Since the OP has a Core 2 CPU, he probably has a system that's dual-channel, which is identical to LGA155 and LGA1156 systems running DDR3 memory.
