Wanted to pick up Hawken, chanced upon MWO and decided on MWO instead beacause it was nostalgic

So I popped in my 1st game and......experienced horrible ping, 250+
Pretty sure it's due to my location (SG) and not my net, anyone knows a workaround or some way to help alleviate the problem?

Singapore?

Yeah, it's probably as the only server is currently based in Canada. Oceania tends to have issues with latency, not much you can do unfortunately.

you can try Leatrix latency fix. it worked fairly well on WoW, I can't say one way or another if it has any effect on MwO. . but it couldn't hurt to attempt.

Good luck ^^

Well thanks for trying to help anyways, ping was still high even after trying Leatrix. Will probably wait till servers go up (if any) in Aus or Asia
Until then, will browse the forums from time to time.

I play from AU where the ping averages 315. The game is still very much playable, although PPCs and ballistics can be hard to use due to the delay between click and fire.
