The past few days I've been the victim of this almost every game regardless of mech, get shot in the front and my rear armor and internals instantly strip/die in the first shot, while the front armor takes no damage.

That's not the bug that was recently fixed. The 'damage transfer bug' that a fixed was an issue with shooting rear torso panels not doing full damage

- When destroyed components were hit from the back with explosive weapons, the damage transfer to front and central components would only be a fraction of what it was supposed to be.

Shooting someone in certain areas under the arm(armpit, lovehandles) can result in a clean rear side torso hit from the front. If the legs are turned, shooting a mech right in the butt plate will cause rear CT damage even if their upper torso is turned facing the enemy.(and there are numerous ways to damage a mech's front torsos when shooting from behind as well)

I believe he's referring to clear, straight shots directly to the front torso that don't hit front armor. Such as when a mech directly in front of you, and some distance off so no funky angles can apply, shoots you dead center in the torso and the damage goes to rear CT armor instead of front.

My understanding is it has something to do with lag. Like the shot is kind of lag-jumping past your front armor, but your rear armor is registering the hit.
