Seriously. Jumping. To. Conclusions. Here.
You have to buy frikin WEAPONS with Cbills in this game. I just spent over 2mil on ERPPC for God's sake.
Purchasing modules with Cbills AND/OR MCs, without any more information, is not that big a deal....
Calm Down, take a deep breath, and wait for it!
And PLEASE Everyone, stop ascribing motivations with no information. Thats called conjecture, rumors, or just plain old "bad mouthing"

This community is self defeatist, and arrogant towards the developers.

remember repair and rearm?
why did they remove that? because you had to pay for your PPC every match if you lost it.
which gives premium players an advantage
and ammo was consumable, and gave premium players an advantage.

To remain fully competitive you will be purchasing consumables with MC or cbills.
This puts Premium accounts at a huge advantage even if the Cbill price is reasonable.
PAY TO WIN END OF STORY
(I have premium and spare MC and I still dont like this)
You can use MC to buy premium time, resulting in more Cbills, that can be used to buy consumables. Is that Pay to Win?

Jeesus H Cehrist. No One has an advantage, is that what you want? I dont have time to play 15 hours a day to build the necessary skills and/or Cbills to be competitive in this game. So, because I have a frikin job and a family with 4 kids, I suck because I spend a little money on this game that I love in order to be able to compete with everyone else?
Dude, someone is going to have an advantage. It called LIFE! Deal with it, and stop trying to bring everyone else down to your level. I have paid a LOT of money for MWO so far (like seriously over $1000), and trust me...it IS NOT PAY TO WIN!
Repeat after me. IT IS NOT PAY TO WIN! If it was, than I would have broken 76 overall on the hero Challenge last weekend!

Premium accounts should have an advantage! Conveniance is overpowered ! I will hammer my oppenents so hard with my AirStrike bought by my shiny dollars. I will make PGI so rich that we will have 20 Clanmechs in no time.
Just kidding... I don't know if I should like these consumables. Too many grievers/idiots/******** with too much money out there. I really hope there won't be any "healpotions, Palabubbles" etc coming out. Even Coolant Flush is meh.

Person: "The enemy got his Atlas with MC and all I got is this dinky spider. Yes I know I can still get the Atlas by grinding C-Bills but I don't care, I'm going to the forums and QQ to the max."

It is P2W - if I have cash to spare, I get more c-bills via buying premium time, therefore I can use those consumables all the time. Joe The Freeplayer who doesn't have cash to spare is unable to do so, can only use consumables in an emergency situation, and therefore has a definite disadvantage when fighting me.
Edit:

You already can - buy an Atlas with MC, sell it for c-bills. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

I sure lose allot in these so called Pay to win games when I pay into them....I haven't found a Pay to win game yet my definition of pay to win is I pay and never lose at all that what I consider pay to win..Until I get gold ammo that never bonce and tank that never gets pen it's not Pay to win..
