The reason some people have points before the start is because I have some fake demo accounts set up for testing. I will post a video later tonight.

Sign up your units before March 9th when the map is created. You can sign up as many units as like so long as you have at least 8 people per unit. You can sign up after March 9th, but map placement is first come first serve.

What is this league?
This league is a planetary conquest of unique planets and mech factories involving house factions, invading clans, mercenary corps, and pirate raiders. Set in an abridged canonical map, it aims to provide a fair and balanced setup with a wide variety of match-ups. With different starting resources, limited mech production, and unique planet conditions, you will find your team in all kinds of matches.

Teams will start with with one planet, one dropship, some c-bills and some pilots. From there you can venture out and conquer the known universe! For more info on the different unit types see:

Paragon has actually seen improved sync dropping since the introduction of Elo. Granted, most of our drops have been against teams which I would consider to be similar to our level (high level competition teams).

The simple fact is that the 8 man queue isn't really that big. My guess is that it takes all the teams that click launch over a 30 second period or so and sticks them in a queue, then starts pairing them off with the closest matches by Elo rating. Paragon still gets matched up against terrible 8 mans (as I suspect does KaoS, SJR, etc.).

I would expect though that most teams that compete in a league like this will be of a decent enough calibre to be matched together at least 50% of the time when sync dropping. The 8 mans you'll have more difficulty matching with, I suspect, would be the ones who take Spiders and/or would never consider joining a league.

If you have 3 groups of 8, you can send one group in, then when that group gets the loading screen you can send the 2 competing groups in. This works about 90% of the time. We've not had any trouble with our RHoD match-ups.

Question- can you only have 8 pilots on your roster, or can you have more pilots with only 8 dropping for the fights?

You must have at least 8, there is no upward limit.
