IGP is just like every publisher. They are the ones who monetize the game, not PGI. I am pretty sure this is something from them, not PGI.

Some one writes the code. Some one drafts the concepts. I highly doubt that some one at IGP called PGI and said, "We want a 3 tiered consumables system, and oh yeah if you don't add coolant flush you're fired"

What was actually said was that they considered it and then dropped it. That's not exactly the same as an ironclad promise that it will never see the game in any form.

Mind you, I'm not sold on their current proposed implementation, either from a balance perspective, nor from a pay-versus-free perspective. I've said as much in the feedback thread. I proposed yesterday that we wait and see how it was implemented before reacting and now I do think it's justified to offer constructive feedback based on what we know. We just need to take the hyperbole down a notch.

hm, maybe i misinterpreted it, but for me it is the same.
But you are probably right, we should wait and see how it is implemented. I am not sure though, if anything will change afterwards

Have you thought that maybe it's not PGI but IGP?

IGP is just like every publisher. They are the ones who monetize the game, not PGI. I am pretty sure this is something from them, not PGI.

Have you considered that it's PGI's place to stand up and say,
"That's not the game we sold the founders and current purchasers on."

or
"Hey guys IGP would like us to introduce new monetizing features, we are far too lazy to read the massive post about things you'd like to see implemented and would pay for, or the discussion of said things that puts them into reasonably balanced - implementable features"

Instead of "We are going to start implementing p2w features. Thanks for supporting us while our game was an interesting and fun development project. Make sure to post your thoughts about this in our thread because our pr team likes to post things like 'we value your opinion'."
