But I had it for 4 years, and it was a fantastic mouse... Wireless, never noticed any kind of latency issues, it tracked wonderfully (I have my PC set up on my coffee table and I play on my couch, using the entire couch cushion as a mousing surface). I dropped it from a height of 2+ feet countless hundreds of times, and it lasted almost 5 years (I ended up buying a new mouse because the RMB started sticking/registering dozens of clicks per second when I tried to "drag" objects.") It was also a large, relatively heavy mouse, with a large thumb pad and plenty of room for my pinky. I use the grip where my entire hand rests on the mouse, with my wrist/arm resting on the table. It was perfect for me.
I currently use a Razer Imperator, and it's tiny, waaaay to light, and the dual sensors (it uses an optical camera and a laser) make it very imprecise in my situation (mousing on a finely bristled couch cushion).
My next purchase is going to be a Steelseries
(Holy crap, how do you like those parentheses?)
EDIT: "Steelseries Samurai." lol

I wasn't able to map the tilt left and right buttons in MWO. I have the latest driver installed, not sure why it's not working...it works fine in Windows.
Oh, and yes I do use the claw grip. Not sure if I could get used to the palm grip with a Razer.

But other than that, I actually have one big problem with the Razer Hex and it's why I don't use it anymore: It's too damned light. This is fine for pushing any of the top three buttons, but it's really not so cool when you're trying to use one of the many thumb buttons on the side - which is the primary selling point of the Razer Hex (and Naga). You push a thumb button and your entire mouse will move slightly to the right with it. Not a big deal in, say, MMORPGs. But it's a BIG deal in a game like MWO where you have to aim and keep a crosshair on a target.
So eventually I bought a Logitech G700. Two less buttons on the side for your thumbs, sure, but there are three more buttons within easy reach of the index finger, and the mouse wheel can register clicks to the left or right. Plus, it's got a little bit of weight to it. I don't mean it's heavy at all. It's got just enough weight to it (by virtue of having a rechargeable battery inside of it for the wireless operation) so that the problem I mentioned above doesn't happen whenever I click a thumb button.
Bottom line: If you like ultra-light ergonomic mice, go with the Razer Hex. Other than my personal issues with the Razer Hex, it's still a damn fine mouse if you can keep it under control despite its feather-weight. But if you can't, avoid it. I would recommend you find a friend who has one or go to a store where they have it on display, and just put your hand on it and get a feel for it. Click all the buttons and stuff.

And the green one is on sale on Amazon for $55.
When I get some disposable income to throw away, I'm planning on getting mine.

It is not that they break. They are just too light and flimsy. I also wasn't satisfied with the sensors. For the supposed high DPI it felt quite skippy.

Logitechs arent really that great in the performance department.
BUY A STEELSERIES SENSEI
I wrote a big long post about how awesome they are somewhere around here.... Will edit it in If I can find it again.
Heres my big long testimonial...I swear I don't work for these guys they just make anamazing product and sell it for shockingly reasonable prices.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I used to think razer made decent if somewhat overpriced products, then a friend of mine got me to try out his steelseries sensei..It is better than even razers high end stuff (I was using a mamba at the time) in pretty much every conceivable way.
http://steelseries.c...elseries-sensei
It isnt as flashy, but its built better, moves better, performs better, has a better easier to clean coating, the software is easy to use and integrates with the mouse at a firmware level (clever trick, so you just bring your mouse with you to any machine and you dont need to load any software, your setting are all in firmware the on the mouse) Basically, while the razer's products seemed like toys, the sensei feels like a precision tool. Its been great in photoshop and illustrator when I dont have my wacom handy too.
AS IF THAT WERENT ENOUGH...it costs about half as much as razers equivalent product.
I Liked razers product and it wasn't shoddy or anything, but honestly? Something that costs half as much completely devastates it. If they are supposedly producing something so high end, that just shouldn't happen. If Steelseries actually advertised for crap, I suspect they would force razer to adapt, but they seem perfectly happy to sit their quietly producing the best gotdanged mouse I have ever layed my hands on and not tell a blessed soul.
(Note: I don't work for or know anyone at steelseries or anything, also the sensei is pretty understated from the whole big black plastic monolith covered in garrish flashing lights Point of view. So I guess thats a win for Razer?)

They are great for SRMS, LRMS, close range energy weapons or dare I say... MG/Flamers/ "crit utility weapons"
The mouse is kinda old and beat up, by applying pressure to the side of the mouse I discovered that I "press" the group 3 button. I have been exploiting this a bit more.

at night time it transformers into a decepticon and runs amok my house.
Cyborg RAT 7 here too.
Couldn't be happier. Also had no problems with programming buttons and macros with the included software (although I don't have an optical drive so downloaded the latest version).
Coupled it with the Cyborg FLY 5 Flight Stick and MWO has never been as fun.
