I want this game to be so realistic that I want to ACTUALLY DIE when my mech gets cored! :)

Edit: as in real life not just in game...

Devs, let me know so I can start writing my will.

Would be nice to knock other mech's on their a$$ by ramming them, with appropriate damage to both parties.
Also Mechs slipping down inclines and on ice.

1. Arcable LRM's that track like they did in Mech3 and are dodgeable if you know what your doing.

2. Cockpits that let you look left and right and see something - and if the mech itself has a wall there put a little monitor in so when I look left to armshoot somebody I can actually see something.

3. Jumpjets that are forceful and launch you hard and fast when you trigger them, and give you some limited control and a bit of fuel beyond that, but not too much. Also, some tiny penalty to make shooting while jumping slightly harder.

4. DFA that can 1 hit kill enemy mechs if you stick a foot into their cockpit.

5. Proper Battletech ammo and heat values for AC's, LBX, etc, so everytime you shoot a round your sweating over how much ammo you have left.

6. real heat management.

7. Mission based gameplay, Base Assault/Defense, dropship destruction, ESCORT/Advance the train/cart/limosine/whatever (timebased like TF2) CTF mode, Deathmatch mode, norespawn and respawn as playable options.

8. If third person playing is permitted, make force first person an option - at least make sure that third person doesnt give advantages like what happened in mech4 - more stable reticule, looking over hills.

9. Hardpoints on mechs so that you have to put weapons in arms, torso & missile slots, and stripping arms/missile slots become viable tactics.

10. destroyable MFB repair bays for base assault / defense modes - 1 repair per player mech per life, only repairs 50% of damage.

11. Turret systems / bases / Mines near spawn points to prevent spawn camping.

12. Maps on planets and in space, cities and inside caverns too. Player built maps that can be submitted to devs for adding into game if approved.

13. Auction House / Mechmarket Players can use ingame currency to buy/sell salvage.

14. Real trees, BIG TREES, Destroyable terrain and trees/buildings.

15. legging doesnt destroy mechs, even a mech with both legs missing can fire (and jumpjet if jumpjets are in the torso)

16. Coolant flush that flushes all heat when used, more strategic and limits its use to critical times.

17. Battlemech training simulator, pilot your mech, practice hitting small energy ball target, jumpjetting practice, mech races? Land on any map and be able to scout it out in practice mode - plan battles, tactics, etc.

18. Elementals/Battlearmour (Tiny Mechs)

19. Ingame Rank System for player guilds to create & utilize. PErmissions for guild members and a guild bank.

20. Random Items, crafting and Blueprints - Items - weapons and mechs with minor variant/tech bonuses. PPC's with 2 % less range but 2% more damage in example. Random values - 1 bonus 1 drawback on each item, Slower recycle time, more damage, etc. Blueprints that randomly drop for players as salage, and can be used to craft unique weapons/mechs/items one crafting per blueprint. Big carrot, gives incentive to fight for new items (a big draw in MMO's) and lets us customize our playstyle and mechs even more.

21. Ingame currency convertable to realworld currency, with DEV's taking a % of each transaction on AH and currency conversion to make money. This prevents piracy of ingame currency/illegal buying selling, and gives the Studio control and revenue generation.

a game engine that is optimized for large scale battles with weapons fire aplenty. Seriously, mwll, I love it, but source code or no, the engine just blows for large scale battles. WHen it runs perfect, its pretty **** nice, but oftentimes the whole system just starts to break down, sounds drop, hit detection goes out the window, all that stuff and THAT perhaps more than anything has limited the playerbase, even though to me, Its small potatoes compared to the awesome I see happen on the battlefield.
So please, I hope to high heaven they have their hands on the best game engine for the job with guys who will be able to tweak it to perfection.
I mean crysis wars=bleeeech. Even the opening cinematic bl.. ows. It really highlights the limitations of the engine.

1. GRIFFIN. I want the Griffin more than anything, please, please. It is the posterchild of every Davion recruiting video and strikes the fear of God into every Kurita Mechwarrior.

2. ECM that is useful and helpful. Anywhere from blocking lock-ons to masking inbound heavies, I think that EW/Light Mechs need to be a real game-changer.

3. I understand: Hard to Implement, but very cool to see: Maybe some supply lines? Persistent Warfare has been announced (And I could kiss every member of the game's team for giving me the gameplay I want) but I feel it would be cool if ammunition could be harder to come by in certain areas, or after a certain loss (Like I said, hard to implement) so that ballistic/missile users were encouraged to conserve ammo.

4. Probably doesn't need to be said, but making sure that there is something to fill the empty spaces between battle. A 'Mech bay of course, to customize loadouts, but also make sure there's Merc Company Chat and whatnot in game. (Sorry, just need to make sure) Also, maybe some Medals/Achievements so we can look at shinies between stomping on the battlefield. (It would be even cooler if these medals were canon/faction specific)

5. A badass opening cutscene. From the "Ammunition Depleted" and subsequent annihilation in Mechwarrior II to the "But sir, I don't have jump-jets" in Mech-Commander to a desperate live-action defense in Mechwarrior IV, a good cutscene is a must.

Wishlist

1) STICK TO THE TABLETOP RULES AND CANON AS MUCH AS THE ENGINE AND MEDIUM ALLOWS, BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE COCKPIT.

Everything and anything else is just so much yadda yadda

2) Advertise Battletech Boardgame; Battlecorps.com; Ironwind Metals during installation, loadscreens, and wherever else. Make people painfully aware that there is a boardgame; you can buy it; and people play it.
3) Release Star League, Age of War Chassis as DLC
4) Extra Camo Schemes and/or Decals purchasable as DLC
5) Homage DLC to other franchises and/or cross-selling (Such as getting samurai hat for TF2 with preorder of Shogun Total War)
6) PVE and/or Single-player DLC campaigns. I'd been wanting a story-driven game all these years, and don't have much love for multiplayer PVP - Internet anonymity and unlimited competition makes for the worst munchkins possible, and I don't much care to have to compete in another e-sport, thankyouverymuch.

I'mma quote everything I agree with. My own at the top. things i agree with but with some changes in the middle. Direct quotings at the end.
  • Ingame "radio": Team, if you can have 1-3 "frequencies" for tighter control of voice spam that would be awesome (coordinate without teamspeak/MSN/skype/Cans-On-A-String)
  • Ingame "radio": all (talk smack)
  • Player mute (rage control)
  • Radio snoop/decryption item (listen to other team's teamspeak)
  • axe-weilding mech.
  • "Double-pay" merc system: You get money up front for taking the mission, enough to buy an average light mech. payout after the mission based on success(c-bills) or failure (xp, cause you learn the most from failures).
  • Losers lose their mech, (hope it wasn't an expensive custom jobbie).
  • Winners reatain their mech and salvage whatever isn't destroyed (in it's damaged state)
  • automatic "roll" looting, round-robin format (don't make us DKP)
  • "salvage" can be instantly converted into c-bills at the time of salvage (90% damaged atlas = 10% base atlas price in c-bills)
  • Fixed dropship weightclasses that launch when they are "full" for a prematch lobby (100t/300t/500t capacity for "mission importance", 1 man team with atlas or 5 wasps for a 100T mission)
  • Customise your mech all you want, it's your bank account (you gonna risk it all on this mission? Do ya feel lucky, punk?)
  • your PHYSICAL LOCATION matters and is based off your last mission, win or lose. (can only take mission within a "distance sphere" of your location, buy mechs available there, and interact with pilots within that sphere)
  • Noobie land is right out of the tutorial scool. (take missions to move elsewhere).
  • "Clan tech" is OP as all hell, it is WORTH salvaging as much as you can(it'll just get destroyed, or looted in a mission you fail, eventually)
  • "clan pilots" composed of the past 30 days top 10% players. (the clan were scary good and used their OP weaponry to good effect, make the best players the only clan pilots)
  • Camoflage does not make mech invisible, it is a factor of your paintjob vs the terrrain (a white mech doesn't turn blurry when in a green/brown forest) ECM is fine for "lockon" but nothing should fool the eye.
  • "arcade mode/VR" deathmatch (nocustom, but the I need a match "now" feeling when no players are in your area; playing a videogame of you playing a videogame.)
  • fairly detailed damage models (so i can SEE what part of the enemy mech I want to shoot at)
  • friendly fire = ON (because anything else is LAME)
  • Instanced battle format (reduced lag and time to action)
  • scenario battles (helps relieve the boredom of pub grind)
  • Team battles (somewhere for the elite to band together and kill me more quickly than normal)
  • role based play (tank/dropship/command/repair/seller) - ever try hitting a drop zone with a 80 ton mech in the middle of a firefight? want to try?
  • single player tutorial/PvE (it's nice when you teammate knows *** they are doing)
  • joystick support (this by default rules out browser based game)
  • keep the client <15GB (seriously)
  • local server DLC - so you can roll with your friends on your own map/hardware
  • custom skins - camo, badges, dashboard ornaments, etc...
  • retail version - gift cards/retail version with special cosmetics/weaps
  • No P2W (mechs/ammo/kits) or if P2W, keep it on a P2W server (kiddie container)
  • Player merit system - see someone doing right by the team, give em some props (for xp multiplier or cosmetic badges)
