Only if used simultaneously. I prefer the benefit of two smaller flushes.

I'd prefer to have 35% cooling in a single module slot and not have to pay to win.

Except if you and I both have three modules.

And we both want an artillery strike, an air strike and a coolant flush.

The paying player gets a tier 3, a tier 3, and a tier 3.

The free player is stuck with a tier 2, a tier 2, and a tier 2.

It's ********, and we wont stand for it.

Inferior because I get two flushes instead of one? Right. Cool story, though. :D

I bet when you get change for a 10 and get all 1s instead of two 5 dollar bills you feel like you get more money, don't you?

It's the same benefit, but the MC module is better because it takes up one slot. It's of no consequence now because currently none of the modules are worth much compared to coolant flush, but wait until more premium modules are introduced that you won't be able to fit because you have the two cbill modules to equal the benefit a MC module gives you.

On a separate note, coolant flush itself is a terrible addition to the game. It will be necessary for every mech as it will give the edge needed when facing opponents of the same skill level, which is the intent of the Elo matchmaking system.

Coolant flush is set so cheap so that you won't have to think about adding it and using it in a match, that way players will get acclimated to pay2win equipment and will allow PGI to really ramp things up at a later date.

....Alright, next match.

I'm sorry, there are serious flaws in this.

This whole mc for power is ********. This is coming from someone with plenty of mc still from my founders. I personally won't be buying any of them period and I hope the whole idea is abandoned. I refuse, absolutely refuse to fund this.

Bryan... you guys have been legit here... but put coolant on your "DO NOT DO" list right next to 3rd person view...
it's a terribad idea... most of us are actually looking foward to arty/airstrikes and we've known that's coming since you detailed modules way back.
but coolant, coolant was one of those "We will never do" things you guys told us about, right next to 3rd person... yet you're talking about bringing coolant in.

The mere fact that they intend on implementing it really destroys their credibility and integrity. If they will so easily change their mind on this just to try and bump up MC sales a bit, then what won't they try? Nothing they announce or say can be taken at face value anymore really. Losing consumer confidence can ruin a business. PGI has already been treading on thin ice with much of it's player/consumer base from a few issues so far as it is (open beta fiasco, founder premium time issues, terrible ECM balance, greatly delayed design progress), and it seems that just as they make a step or two forward to regain some of the faith in the game, they fumble in some way and set themselves back again.

Let's put it this way, on the 19'th, if Coolant Flush is in the game, I leave... simple as that.

Artillery and air strikes do not have 3 tiers. There are 2 kinds with different characteristics. As such, your example is invalid.

This changes my opinion on flush somewhat.

At least I know that the CB use ones (trivially cheap, so yes everyone will be carrying at least a 20% at all times) are only one modslot the same as the MC ones.

As such, and given you can only use any of them once per, the MC unit loses some of its lustre. However, being a 25 MC item means you can buy a hell of a lot of them at 6.95 a month.

No it does not. A bad premise always invalidates any conclusions made.

Actually, It's already been posted elsewhere that the cbill versions of Art and Air hit harder, but take longer for delivery. The MC versions hit quicker but do less damage.

You're naive if you think more of these gold modules aren't in the pipe.

What were you replying to? There seems to be a disconnect somewhere.

The current tiers of flush indicate that PGI has not gone totally bonkers with how 'paid' consumables will work against 'free' consumables. There is no evidence to suggest we need to panic and expect three tiers of both kinds of fire support. Two versions will do just fine, one CB and one MC, and the difference being in delivery timer versus damage inflicted.

There is no point in freaking out about what might happen since we can't stop it even if they got completely 180 and start squeezing the player base for every dollar possible. All we could do is stop buying, and most of the longtime forum members already did that.

Funny. I'm not the one whose panties got tied up in a bunch over P2W and coolants.
