However, I think it's not over-the-top "OMG ITS AWFUL!!!" as much as people make it out to be. Maybe needs a bit of tweaking.

I think they've put in new missile launch sounds, too? I actually like that sound. It feels more...substantial.

But the new "normal" laser recharge sound is just bad, maybe it sounded cool while played by itself one time in the "lab". But ingame it is distracting and does not even give good feedback when the weapon did fully recharge. At least for me it does not help at all to recognise when they are fully recharged.
