stop the humanoid mechs please! they look so lame and they all look the same. the atlas i will admit looks more legitimate than prior games and actually made me want to pilot one. the other mechs that may make an appearance, such as the banshee or the cyclops are all basically the same as the atlas and i would dislike this very much. MHO of course. personally i would love to see the king crab, now i understand that the king crab may not have three variants and that this may screw up the pilot tree, but come on. there has to be a way around that. so please stop the humanoid mechs or at least the mechs that are basically the same eg. atlas, cyclops, banshee.

I always prefered the chicken walkers and alikes but the art in this game is so awesome cent, atlas, mando > cat, stalker aso. Orion and Highlander concepts look sick to, cant wait!

I disagree. I think our mechs aren't humanoid enough! They need to be more like Robo Jackson in Moonwalker with metal hair. Or like the early transformers with liquid metal faces. Oh! And then we can dress them up in awesome outfits (purchased through MC of course).

You've hurt the stalkers feelings, and cat has lost her smile.

For shame sir, for shame!

MWO's mechs are a bit more realistic looking than out there as the mechs were in say MW4M. The addon packs had some funky looking mechs.

im saying i love all the mechs out right now except for but a few . its just i dont want more humanoid mechs in the future that are basically atlas copies. now same tonnage i dont mind that one bit. btw i love the stalker. and oddly enough the dragon is my favorite mech. but they made it un-humanoid enough and ive just always love house kurita and the dragon

I agree. Unfortunately, there are not many inner sphere reverse joint mechs the developers have to choose from during the 3050 time frame. HOPFULLY, they will compensate with numerous reverse joint CLAN mechs when the invation kicks off. (and a king crab wouldnt hurt.... seriously.)

unfortunatly we wont be seeing a king crab, the current system doesnt support advanced construction rules, which allow weapon spliting. which is required to build the king crab. ;)

Have you ever played the miniature game or looked through the tech manuals? because got to tell you 85-95% are humanoid design's in all seriousness.

And there is a logical reason for it in lore, they are easier for pilots to control because they function pretty much like humans in terms of movement.

I still think the Stalker should have humanoid legs anyway!

Unfortunately 95% of the IS mechs at this time all look about the same as far as the humanoid shapes go, it seems. They probably won't put the Crab in because all it's versions use lasers and that's it. The king crab has funky arms. And.... we have the raven, jenner, stalker, and cat.

I'm going to be all yarg I r trueborn if it gets me a chicken walker with arms. I am no fan of all the goofy broad torso'd people looking mechs, atlas excluded.

I think the Stalker would look pretty silly with humanoid legs. Like one of those little toys you get in Happy Meals. ;)

As the timeline progresses and the Clan are introduced, we'll be seeing a lot more chicken walker mechs in general.

One rule of thumb to think of this, that a majority of the IS mechs are humanoid, whereas the majority of Clan mechs are chicken walkers.
