Just had a match in Alpine Peaks. I got shot up pretty bad, red and orange internals. I got 4 kill assists, no kills. I managed to survive, somehow. At the end I was awarded 30k CBills and 600 xp for Saviour Kills. I got no kills. Dunno if this is correct, but seems to not be. Hope this helps. Oh, was conquest mode.

I suspect it's like the defensive kill, where anyone who damages the mech in the last 10 seconds.

Quote

Savior Kills: Upon killing an enemy Mech. If that enemy had been attacking a teammate who has a critical component that is 50% health or lower within the last 10 seconds you will be awarded 7500CBills, and 150XP.

Defensive Kills: Upon killing an enemy Mech. If that enemy was currently capping a base, anyone who had attacked the capturing Mech within the last 10 seconds will be awarded 7500CBills, and 150XP.

The savior bonus is being applied if you assisted on a kill aswell. E.G. if the enemy mech damages another friendly mech and is then killed every friendly that dealt damage within the 10 seconds is awarded the savior kill. This was put in to prevent kill stealing. I have tested it and you can NOT get a savior if you yourself are critical.

Hope this helps. Thanks for your feedback.

Ah, thanks.
I had several instances where I was getting the bonus and most certainly not the kill.
You may want to check the counter though. I am not sure, but I think I had one instance where I opened up a Mech for a friend of mine running the MG Spider (efficiencies and all that) and he killed him later than 10 second I think.

I have been getting a bug where defensive kills are not being properly awarded. I have killed several mechs within the parameters of the defensive kill criteria and have not gotten the notification or reward once.

Your description above seems correct.
I saw a savior bonus when I was not the actual mech that did the kill. But it still made me feel HOSS!

The Savior "kill" (should be more of an assist than anything) is simply you doing your job to help out a teammate.

I think the Defensive kill requires the enemy to have touched the base perimeter (within a certain period)... although I doubt it counts you shooting them BEFORE they touch the base perimeter. That might be what is at work.

You should change description in patch notes so it doesn't make any more confusion.
