Probably related to the LRM/laser sound change, now other sounds are muffled and sound low quality E.G most of the ACs... 2 other friends noticed immediately after playing the new patch.

hmm maybe the sound guy botched the whole osund pak when he stained himself in joy at hearing the sound of his favorite childhood laser raygun toy..

shame it was such a cheap sounding crappy plastic hunk of junk.
