Liao Beta Game Truefans, sure, we'll go with that. We know what it stands for.

It has come to my attention that there are certain communities that do not support you, and in fact take offense to your identities/orientations. Downright un-neighborly.

We here at the Word of Lowtax support your right to a safe and friendly stompy robot community, and offer conditional* support to your endeavors.

Absolutely not! Being Yourself is the Best thing to Be! Be You and never let anyone tell you Not to Be!

To all the peacocks, flamingos, and transavians flying under the Liao flag,

We at the Word of Lowtax take pride in our acceptance of alternative lifestyles, and would like you to know that you all have our full support within House Liao. Community is key, and we welcome you into ours as a safe place when others may feel your presence is inflammatory. We hope to make this place a welcoming environment for birds of any and all colors.

Being different can be a hard road to walk. Lets support our fellow gamers, whatever their sexual/gender preferences are.

I celebrate diversity and envision a society that embraces everyone, including those of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. Only with respect, dignity and equality for all will we reach our full potential as human beings, individually and collectively.

Realtalk though, online gaming communities can be hostile places for people who don't fit into society's rigid and unforgiving definitions of what normal is, and I think we owe it to everybody to foster a positive environment where we can all have fun piloting Big Stompy Robots together.

I have seen some pretty disturbing acts of discrimination over the years in my career as an online gamer, and I can't wait for the day when online gaming communities become truly safe places for people of all lifestyles.

This thread was originally placed in the House Liao sub-forum, but we've moved it into JetCom in an effort to open the discussion to all houses and players of MechWarrior Online. Besides, as an inclusive group, we don't need to be exclusive!

Here at IGP I am surrounded by a supportive group of hardworking friends who accept me for who I am. As a homosexual person in the gaming industry, I have an incredible sense of pride when users work together to express their individuality and diversity within their community.

Homophobia can be challenging to combat in internet communities, and it's through these networks that we can expose new ideas and acceptance.

Check out my signature colour scheme on one of IGP's other games:

I'm showing my pride. Gaymers forever.

Good call Viterbi & staff, to open up this topic for community wide discussion.

True, it should be that everyone is welcome to participate in the MWO community.

TheMittani.com and its staff, especially our MWO desk, fully support the LGBT MWO community. Viterbi gets a thumbs up too for helping improve acceptance in the MWO community, and for great taste in rainbow signatures.
