Thank You, Pgi.

I was one of the vocal opponents of your previous implementation of the consumable system. I made a lot of posts shouting out against it. I might've said some unpleasant things.
But you listened. You heard the community's outcry and fixed the problem.
This new system is good. I'd say it's great. People are going to complain about the c-bill price, or the gxp price, but when it all comes down to it, you've given the F2P player the same-exact-advantage that the MC player will have.
So thank you. Well done. I'll be buying some MC here shortly in the next few days as a show of support. :-)

Some people doesn`t understand the difference between "Pay-2-win" and "Grind-or-pay" Stop crying and play (or pay)!
Tnx PGI! It was right decision and quite elegant cause those who don`t want to pay MCs every time for consumables, but want to install upgraded CB-modules right now - still have to pay for XP-to-GXP conversion Nice compromise.
But, after all, everyone have the same benefits for using modules, but different ways to obtain them.

Trying to repost the positive part.
Remember that people are something like 7 times more receptive to negative information than they are to positive information. That means if you made 4 of the whine laden posts that litter this forum, you're now only 27 posts like this away from equaling zero.
Personally, I love the game, and the recent patches are pushing this into "classic" status.

It's good that you were not one of the harebrained morons who thought letting P2W in the door way ok, which is why I'm more ambivalent about this topic than others of it's kind, but let's try to keep in mind that we are in what is essentially a business relationship (a gross oversimplification, but suitable). We pay them money, they make us content. It's a good gig, and when it's working I don't think topics like this are necessary.
For my part, my faith is restored until the next time something egregiously awful comes along and destroys it, and I will grudgingly accept consumables as part of the package if they're going to keep churning out cool content.

They pulled a bait and switch. They tried to take you for a ride. As they were caught in the act, they made no apologies. They just changed a few notes in their tune.
If someone beat you up on the street and then handed you a cupcake, would you congratulate them for their "generosity" ?

Your analogy isn't anywhere close to what happened. They wanted to do consumables, and wanted to do it in a way that got them money (though they didn't do it in the best possible way).
They gave us a preview of their system.
The forums exploded in understandable anger. We vented our frustrations. We posted our thoughts.
They obviously listened. For that I'm rewarding them with an MC purchase. No need to be cynical about the whole ordeal. :-)
