You are buying into the assumption that the Op made. That the way people are playing is somehow bad and not in fact better than most other offerings if you happen to want to use your brain and play video games.

I am doing no such thing. I don't even agree with him. Actually, though, what you've written is so poorly worded that I don't know if that's true. Maybe I do agree with you? But I think not, if I make some reasonable assumptions about what you were trying to imply with your message.

Everything, and I mean everything I have heard about R&R up to this point said it lead to AFKs, running out of bounds, sniper boats with zero brawling, and an aura of timidity and cowardice that says "This conflict here on Forest Colony, or Alpine, or whatever, is not important. We don't need to win. We need to take the least damage possible." That is, R&R made the caliber of play worse.

Well right now I think the game is in a good spot, and if R&R nixed brawling and made the game a light mech mass PPC cluster ****, that would be a bad thing, not a good thing.

this kind of thing is likely a no brainer, but is it cowardice to run from 4 assaults armed to the teeth when you are a heavily damaged light mech that has both legs barely staying together? I thought that it would be better to do hit and run from then on and i got called a coward, and was told that I should just stand and wait 10 seconds for my head to get blown off. AKA, is it cowardice to prolong a match with hit and run(far away) tactics if you are heavily outmatched and the last one standing?

Anything else but running would be suicide. Isn't that a report-able offense? Maybe we need an evac-zone ;)

i think so for the suicide part, but only if it is within the first minute or so. But evacs zone would be worse then running around as most players would just end up going into these and leaving immedietly.

OK, so I intended to leave this thread as it was cuz the OP clearly DOES want to be catered to.
However I have been qouted enough times that I have to restate what I said before.

First, your arguments on a broadscale are both ridiculous and a farce.

Ignore your family? if you can take the time to play you can take the time to use a mic.
However from the sounds of it, you are attempting to juggle playing and babysitting...
not gonna take that statement any further cuz its obvious.

Second, in order to type a thought you have to well, type.
That then causes someone else to type. Both actions require you to stop piloting and well.. TYPE!
In the meantime the guys with headsets are still rolling on your postion or getting into thier own ambush.

PUG's with mics are still 100% more effective than pug's without.

Dont want to spend money on a headset? Can't afford one?
Then go buy a used bluetooth or USB mic, they cost about 15$ at Gamestop or just about anywhere.

You are presenting a classic strawman arguement here. You have no real reason NOT to use a mic and get the gameplay you desire.

Currently in this century we have desk mics, ear mic, throat mics, headsets, built in mics, a wide variety of speaker sets. But thats not what this is about. You can blame ELO all you want but in the end PUGs with no communication are what cause this issue.
Ya'll stand around milling about waiting for the action to start, watching each other, typing to or not typing eitherway, like it or not you ARE cannon fodder.

I commend your asinine approach to tossing in that people are cowards for not Leeroy Jenkins it up or waiting too long, hypocrisy at its best in spades right there...

If a diversion is created, unless its against other puglings like yourself, then that chance to act is wasted ... typing.

But I digress, please tell us more about how we should feel sorry/guilty for using teamspeak like the dev's do..
oh wait.. eh, nevermind.. I'm done here get off my lawn.

VOICE COMMS!?!?!
