Fusion is supposed to generate heat, and boil water(or coolant) to make turbines turn, and generate electricity.
If coolant is also connected to heatsinks AND weapons AND the fusion engine, then dumping it over the weapons and heatsinks WITHOUT a flow-back system, then the fusion engine MIGHT go critical due to a loss in pressure, and/or with only using 65% coolant left.
A fusion engine with only 65% coolant would generate more energy, and charge the weapons faster, but at a 25% chance of blowing the engine, and 25% heat increase due to weapon use.
Basically, using coolant should be last ditch, OH **** DAT ATLAS moment. not a sniper advantage, or an alpha advantage, but the last thing you want to do to kill an enemy. It shouldn't use tanks or any command console, or weigh anything since this is a soft change to a mechs internal capability to hose it's own heatsinks in coolant.
Or, just make it so it Over-pressurizes the coolant lines, and overloads the coolant pumps to move the coolant faster, but with a minor risk of critical internal damage.
AND TEHN ERYBODY BE HAPPY
