Me personally? I despise PVP normally. I prefer the story mode of games for the sake that I want to hear the story someone worked on. However, Mechwarrior, and consequentially Battletech, has a story. They're going to use as much of it as they can over time. In real time. so if you're waiting for an event to happen, just mark that date on your calender. The story is still there for those who wish to look for it.

In regards to WoT and PVP, I am pleased with the path World of Tanks took, because not only is it easily accessible (though I'm still getting the hang of artillery) the game is designed so even if you lose you have a way to advance, albeit slower. And theres no animocity that I can find, when its team vs team, its not like on Wow and the like where people run up on people they know are lower level then them, just out of the newbie zone, and unaware of how things work yet, challenge them to a duel, and then clobber them and take the renown for it. In here, if something like that starts, there's a good possibility that the rest of the team will PPC that punk before he picks on the fledgeling if for nothing more then to help their team win, I will take World of Tanks gameplay over WoW or, despite my desire to hear it's story, Star Wars the old Republic gameplay, any day. I can't wait for this game to come out, just so I can strap in, zone out and see if I can shake my old call sign. If not, Star Knight will become Blaster Fodder once again. And I'll still have fun.

I always told my DPS's when I was a tank: You bloody pull off me, its YOUR problem. My ONLY concern is the safety of our healer. You are on your own. I always laughed when they did not take me seriously and wouldnt stay below MY aggro threshold. As a DPS, I always made bloody well certain I stayed below the aggro threshold of my tanks, which usually meant a down tweak to my gear sometimes. What can I say, demon lock at your service. or, used to be lol

Thanks for setting the low standard for tanking, no wonder why ppl I tanked for loved my tanking!

When I went DPS nothing is more fun than pulling aggro off a single target mob cause tank is... who knows what the tank is doing to lose aggro on single target (multi target I have some sympathy for and no I wasn't those noob DPS that just died, I actually kited and killed ***** if it came after me) and watch the tank rage quit lol

Told it million time to them, this is unnecessary, they should've made normal single playing game for consoles and pcs. hopefully one day they do so. Because mechs are cool its hit and it sells.

If this is smashing hit, theres chance we get single playing game too.

Dont know really, tank simulators doesnt sell, maybe this is best after all.

I would love to have a single player campaign.
Not that I do not like PvP, but a single player campaign with a deep story
would be a great addition.

Now that the game is set up all they need to do is to program a decent AI.
(OK not a minor task but worth the time it would take)

hello, i am a massive fan of battle tech fan, ever seance playing mech warrior 2, as well as possible a battle tech game on the snes. thou that was a long time ago, and while i am still a fan of this series, as i own almost every mech warrior besides mech warrior the original. i am sadden by the way you are taking it, i am not a pvp gamer and i am just sadden to see this series become in essence world of tanks. i do not think farming for credits to get a good mech is fun, nore do i think getting killed over and over is fun either. and while i do support a game that have both great single player, and as well multiplier options, this just seems like a cop out. when i saw the trailer back a long long time ago, i was so thrilled. it spooked to me about a war that somehow went bad, i heard cry of allies being demolished, and was facing a new foe in a new war. there was such a glimmer of hope to that. but now all story elements are gone, and left is just a pvp mech simulator. no charters i get to fight, no boss battles and no story to keep me going on. just mindless pvp without any point to it. besides to go hey i got the best mech and look i am high on the score Bord. but to be blunt is just sickens me that you would throw away any and all story elements, which i loved from the past games even thou they that great, i still enjoyed it. i just have to ask why did you turn mech warrior franchise into the new world of tanks.

The lack of Knowledge in this post is amazing . Have you read any of the Sticky's or the Dev Blogs or the interviews or the FAQs? Or are you like so many that cry in hearing talking out your arse?
