On the profile page there is now a tab "Redeem Code." Could this be used for a larger Closed Beta, or do you think this is for the founder's package? Either way it looks like the developers are very dedicated to updating at a rather quick pace.
This has just reignited my excitement for this game, and for the potential of getting into the next phase of the beta!

Dev's preparing for the next phase of beta?

Yes...this is the phase where the devs do nothing, but get you all to start checking your email in 5-minute intervals again...

It opens up the opportunity for fan and press pages to do promotions. I'd say that's why.

With E3 coming up there will be a whole lot of press types wanting to get their due. Damn media people get all the good stuff...

Maybe we'll be able to gift things. Probably premium subscriptions...not game items, etc..

What does it mean!? It makes no sense! Why do this if the Beta Redeem codes are distributed via Email? Couldn't you just use secure links for verification instead of leaving a possible door open for brute force?
I bet you dimes to donuts that a correct code would not give you a beta key... just something else... but what?

They will propably be handing out "Trial" Keys or Closed Beta keys of some sort at E3 via these so called "sheets of paper" were you can "print" things on.
These have to be entered somwhere. Thus, the redeem code function.
The second thing would be the Founders Pack. Sicne this is closely linekd to your Forum Account as well (Foudners Tag), it makes sense to enter the Founders Pack Key on your Forums Profile.

Get used to it.
We all get bent up about every little thing around here and start imagining all sorts of stuff it could mean and in the end it's just plain and simple.
Just look at all the talk about Artemis and the Heartbeat pages.
