I'm asking my fellow MWO players to sign the above petition. If you have purchased the new SimCity from EA via Origin, and live in the US, you know there is virtually no recourse to get a refund from EA due to their ******** TOS.

They make a game, release it and 4 days after release people cannot play at all. If you purchased through Origin, they will deny every request at a refund, although some have been given but not without a fight. Furthermore, if you call your bank and chargeback the fee, your Origin account will be banned, not allowing you to play the other games you may have purchased.

Even if you have not purchased the game, this refund policy / always online DRM may effect you at some point through some other publisher. Those living in the EU are fortunate enough to have the "cooldown" law.

I've been purchasing EA products for 20 years, this is the last one.

All games have issues, including MWO we know, but there are virtually no games that I can recall that have been 100% unplayable for 4 days after release.

I did post this in Jettisoned / OT, but also wanted to post in a place where people would see.

I could take them to small courts here. If you're in America, you have no rights.

The rest of the world? We're a sane here.

I'm pretty sure I heard of another petition that wants the same but has already much more signs, so you are better off signing those I think than starting new and fragment it.

This is an official petition to the white house. the other petition going around, isn't really going to do much, I do know of it though.

the other petition might as well read..."we're very upset, and going to write EA a nasty letter telling them how upset we are"

Welcome to America where the rich get richer, the poor get welfare, the middle class gets ****** and companies aren't responsible for the broken products they release.

Of course they have rights. They're merely suspended indefinitely if the powers that be find them inconvenient.

Thats why you dont install steam, origin, their ubisoft clone, or any of that crap. Hope youve learned your lesson not to buy EA.

LOL, you would not get anywhere in small claims in Sweden. But good luck with that.
