Dear PGI.

Do you understand your player base? I just woke up at 6am in Brisbane, Australia and after having put a bowl of cereal in front of my kid logged on. So, I'll admit to being a bit excited when I saw a new competition. Different this time, yay, I thought, until I noticed that 2 of the categories was already finished for Friday meaning I have no change to win the overall competition.

Could you please, before you have another one of these tournaments, run another competition where you ask your players for submissions to a tournament and then we can vote on the best one?

Seriously guys, these spread around time slots are not even funny. I'll give you some cred for not repeating the last tournament and for opting for cbill rewards rather than banners, but how about you at the least accept this premise for tournaments: A certain number of drops over a 48/72 hour period. Thats it. When you have reached the number you have finished your participation in the tournament.

Please, I want to participate without being hamstrung by time zones.

At the least announce these things way in advance so people can actually try to set aside time for them.

personally i'm going to try for the kills challenge saturday, and that's all i can find the time for this weekend.

No matter what, when it comes to times, someone somewhere is getting shafted.

You understand why there are different time slots on different days, right?

Debating whether to reply to that. Yes, I understand why there are different time slots. It was an ill conceived attempt at spreading the tournament around so everyone on the planet could participate. But just as with the previous tournament, the time you wake up determines whether you have a chance to complete on an even footing with people from different parts of the world.

Do you understand that the time listed in PST and UTC is the same time? This means that when I woke up, and it was over halfway through the Friday stage 1 that I effectively cannot win the overall even if I had wanted to?

What I am trying to get at here is that there is a better way. 50 matches over a weekend for instance. Have a tournament drop game mode for example that locks you out after 50 matches or something like this. I am asking the community for a better idea than what is being offered and I am asking PGI to listen.

Insinuating that I can't understand time slots is not helpful. I understand what combined standing means too, that means if you miss ONE time slot you are effectively out.

**** this stupid ****.

I didn't opt in because I have things to do this weekend.

The last game with 3 splatcats and 3 LRM stalkers, yeah, **** that, I'll see you when there is a sane matchmaker or this "tournament" is over....

I'll put money on which comes first.
