NightFallsOnU: Will we (i am hoping with CW or Clans) get to see anything close to an auction house like most MMOs have? I.E. maybe open up the "Blackmarket" for player based selling of mechs and equip?

A: No auction house is planned. We do not intend to support Player to Player transactions.

This is good. Auction house ruined Diablo 3.

Was a stupid question. This game doesn't have item drops. Waste of time to answer

Yet. Salvage? Clan Tech? Always a possibility in a MechWarrior game... Combined with a real-money auction house, it would kill the fun and fairness of this nice game.

Just good to know it's not coming.

My questions remain unanswered, and I asked 4 in separate posts in compliance with the rules. On the first couple pages too. Come on guys...

Paul, no offense, you have a lot on your plate, you're a busy guy, but I don't think Ask the devs is the right niche for you. Next time, I think a lot of people would rather have an informative ask the devs that covers a lot of minor topics rather than a list of big things you won't be looking at. I appreciate you putting in the time to reach out to the community but I don't think this helped anything and just seems insulting for such a long wait.

armyunit: Are there plans to release a 64-bit version of the game sometime in the future?

A: No plans currently.

Well, there's your performance issues right there. I can't even buy a 32 bit machine in-store anymore.

DV McKenna: Initially we are told we'll get a one time transfer to the server region of our choice. Once done we are stuck there and there is no=zero ability to then play with the opposite region. Can you be a bit more specific here?

A: It’s a one way transfer. You can always create a new account in the desired region of play.

:P

Last ask the devs actually had me hopeful you'd be able to login everywhere using the same account.

There's no real reason not to do that, unless they want to set prices different for different regions.

You know what, the "trashcan" mech isn't as cool as R2D2.

God this QnA frustrates me.

I was really looking forward to it.

Especially after the dev response to the consumables uproar, which I thought was important.

And now we get this trash.

Can I work for you and just do QnA? You don't have to pay me. I'll do it from home once every other day after work.

Answers like this make me wonder if you really want us to ask you questions ... I appreciate the little bit of transparency we do have, and I appreciate that you guys are busy, but with answers like this, why bother?

haha yeah, that one definitely made me laugh.

So does that apply to the map exploit you guys refuse to acknowledge officially?

"You shouldn't"?

Son, I am disappoint.

There were a lot of good questioned ignored, the ridiculous silence on ECM continues, and a lot of the questions that got answered were either stupid (information that's readily available elsewhere) or answered so vaguely that there was no point (like Kageru's question).

I still immensely appreciate that you guys are doing this, but this was definitely a step back from the past couple of ATD answers.

Questions From: The Community
Answers: Bryan Ekman - Creative Director - Piranha Games Inc.

FrostCollar: Are there any plans to introduce the UrbanMech as a full mech and not just as the best bobblehead that you can put on your dashboard?

A: <redacted>

ObsidianSpectre: Has PGI started production on any clan related assets yet?

A: Can’t answer that, sorry.

They can't be working on Clan assets when they are working on the Urban Mech!

Honestly, I didn't expect them to answer mine. It was a bit snarky =P

Not to mention I don't actually care about ECM, personally. I think it's overpowered for its weight/criticals, but does it affect my gameplay experience in a big way? Eh, not really.

But what does **** me off is that they refuse to give a straight answer to the community. The ECM whine has been loud and consistent, they promised a Command Chair post a month ago, and they're still trying to sweep it under the rug.

I get that they want to add counters and see how that works out before detailing any other plans, but it doesn't address the real issue: ECM is the best 1.5 tons / 2 critical slots in the game. You could literally drop 5 tons of other stuff off an ECM Raven, and it would still be better than a fully-stocked non-ECM raven.

If they really think counters are the solution, I'd at least like to hear a developer say it: "We think adding counters will mitigate ECM enough that it's not overpowered. We have X more counters for ECM coming down the line in the next Y months, and we'll reevaluate where ECM stands at that time."

wow... mine was not even answered. Maybe they should put a cap on how many questions can be asked before they lock the thread. None of the really good stuff was even answered lol. I thought ALL questions would be answered?
