Some suggestions regarding chat

1. The game automatically closes at the end of a match after a very short amount of time. Allow users to remain in game so we can chat. This will help new players as they can get tips off others who have been watching them play and allow people to get to know each other and form / expand teams / clans.

2. Fix chat so when typing in chat pre-match the text doesn't dissapear when match starts. This needs fixing because we can't discuss tactics adequately if the beginning half of sentences are deleted and only the bit typed after game has started appears.

3. Make chat box appear constantly or be able to be toggled on or off.

4. Make background of chat box constantly dark grey so we can more easiliy read the text.

5. Allow us to resize chat text and text box.

6. Make chat text scrollable as it is easy to miss messages.

Yes please, to the first 2 at least. Not sure how much time it would take to make the second 2 work but I know they need to change the friendly text color. It's nearly invisible

....maaaaybe I'll issue a bug report, but normally I use double-ESC to exit typing mode. When you do that during startup sequence, you can't chat any more. Have to use double-t to get typing mode back AFTER startup sequence has ended. IIRC, same happens during the cool-down after a match.

scrollable. it has to be scrollable. someone sends a msg, someone else too, 2 kills and the msg is gone - can happen very quick sometimes.

These are all good suggestions and would polish chat up a lot.

What frustrates me about the chat stuff is how basic and poorly implemented it is. Features going into a beta should really be complete (designed, coded, tested). We should be finding bugs in them for fixing, not pointing out how flawed it all is.

Yes please! Particularly 1 & 6 (no scrolling can be a big problem during battles too). Increasing the number of lines that show up in the chat box would at least be a start.

Would like it, but barely anyone uses the minute available as it is.

I would prefer a global and targeted group chat feature that activated as soon as i log in. I have this really large friend list, and i can't talk to any of the people on it.....much less those that wish to talk about a match we just finished

I partly agree but I would rather have a game that is missing features than no game at all. I do not know much about programming but maybe it would have took a long time to write the code for these features and the devs decided it would be better to focus on other content. Considering they didn't have any code written a just over a year and a quarter ago, (according to the first post of this thread - /topic/86631-technical-issues-update/ ) I think overall they are doing a good job.
