MG damage is a huge over statement... I'm not one to ask for Buffs but.. I'm curious if everyone else will support the cause by posting their MG damage..

Out of 8000 rounds fired, only 4291 hits, dealing 172 points of damage = .043 Damage per round??.. I understand the potential for this to get out of hand.. However, can we get a little more damage? .143 - maybe? I mean 4000 round to get less than 200 points of damage .. IS BAD.

Right now I just use MG to find the head and then press Alpha. It would be nice if they did something.

Review your profile stats, weapon damage..

Weapon             matches    fired        hit            accuracy       Time Equipped     Damage
MACHINE GUN     35         63,423    35,132       55.39%             03:04:50                 1,410
SDR-5K

Edit: They don't lose dmg when target is > 90 m away? Also, they should do LESS than 0.04 dmg per bullet, not more. Seems like "hit" needs some more explanation.

You might find some edifying debate/thoughts on this in this thread (already on the front page :) ) http://mwomercs.com/...uns-have-1-dps/

I personally like their role as the clean up weapon after you open up the armor.

Monkey, i guess what i was trying to provide was not a debate or a set of openions about why MG damage should be fixed..
But more of a Hard numbers look at how the MG does on the user end, and not the Sandbox the Dev team works in.. (which im sure is far more ideal, than the sand box we play in.)
I guess i probably should of checked smurfys first to see that the damage per round is .04..
Had i done that, i would of seen that i should of put the emphasis on the Damage time tables.. Its estimated to do .40 damage a second, which it clearly does not.. If the theory of fire rate is supposed to factor into this, it is being lost in a sea of lag, and the 10 round that are supposed to hit in 1 second, Arn't... So if you see there is a lag factor and the amount of damage that shold be done isnt getting done... then it's time to up the factor to Balance weapon.. Mean while a SM laster does 1 DPS for a .5 ton weapon.. And i'm sure we would rather all put the SML on over the MG's if the Hard points wasnt an issue. Or choose the 18 second with 1 SL, vs the 24 seconds with 2 MGs..
There are plenty of ways to look at how its broken.. So why arn't we?
