Banditman, the Sunder wasn't created until after the Tukayyid truce when the Luthien Armor Works rolled out the first prototypes of it. Like many others I also see pieces of already released mechs, granted I'm sure they're going to reveal some new image when the countdown is done, but as it stands now I'd presume that they have enough respect for the community that we would unscramble any image they posted currently.

Actually a little surprised no one has pulled it off and unscrambled it and reposted it yet...

<REDACTED> is the hint of origination

To redact is to edit, or prepare for publishing. Frequently, a redacted document, such as a memo or e-mail message, has simply had personal (or possibly actionable) information deleted or blacked out; as a consequence, redacted is often used to describe documents from which sensitive information has been expunged.

Looks like Comstar is erasing something, I wonder what, oh wait, lore has it that they had first contact with the Clans when one of their explorer ships jumped into one of the Clan systems and it was this event that tipped the scales and launched the invasion. Guess we will find out in August when the Periphery starts getting hit.

So maybe I'm a little bitter cause I wasn't one of the lucky people that got into beta...... But this annoys me. I'm sure it's cute for people not following the game. Just give me some info about the game or show me a mech. Post this crap on IGN, Gamespy or whatever.

I know how you feel. This constant "screw with your fanbase" is beginning to make me not want to buy a founders pack and just say screw it. :/

The human brains need to make order out of chaos never ceases to surprise me.

Highly entertaining thread! *gets popcorn*

amazed? not really, i'm more annoyed by its ineptitude and inefficiency at this. so far we have seen endless "annihilator" and "cyclops" speculation when all the parts in question have been revealed to be nothing but pixelized concept art for commando.

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Annihilator
It was exclusive to the Dragoons until the Jihad disseminated the design to Arc-Royal due to the strengthening of the relationship that Wolf's Dragoons forged with the Kell Hounds and Clan Wolf-in-Exile following their flight from Outreach.
and...
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Jihad
The Word of Blake Jihad was a major interstellar war that involved all major factions. The opening salvo was launched in October 3067 against Wolf's Dragoons on their homeworld of Outreach.

hmmm... along ways off it seems to get a Annihilator in to IS proper hands

I wonder why I am the only person who can't access that page in Firefox, Chrome, or Internet Explorer....

Also, static-13-37-43-137.comstar looks a lot like something you'd see off a traceroute.

It's going to be the MWO full trailer. Something maybe like the one we saw in 2009, but within the context of MWO. The timer counts down to E3. PGI will want to have something to blow peoples minds and get them to think WOW MWO I want to play that. People who maybe have not heard about MWO thus far. A concept art of a new Battlemech is not gonna have the WOW factor PGI is looking for.

The website only comes up with 404 not found now. However if you try to load the page in Chrome you get the same error but with an option to view a cached version of the page which still displays the counter, sign up and pixelated image. Info bar at the top states "

It is a snapshot of the page as it appeared on 31 May 2012 03:17:05 GMT

"

No you're not, server responds with a 404 Not Found to me regardless of user agent used. Probably blocking certain (non-US?) IP ranges.

edit: or seeing the post above maybe it's broken for everyone now, but it never worked from me from the moment it came over the RSS feed.

wouldn't work, as .comstar is not a valid TLD. Tried resolving static-13-37-43-137.com just to see, and again - not valid. (whois shows it as unregistered as well.)

EDIT: error 404 is not a browser error; it's an HTTP status sent by the HTTP server. Unlikely that it's being blocked for people, more likely that it doesn't exist (yet?)

EDIT2: or possibly, /artemis is just broken ^_^

static.mwomercs.com seems to work for me (in Seattle)
