Rules:
Standard league rules apply. Below are the additional rules and clarifications for the playoffs.
Each match (except for the finals) has a best of 5 format. The winner in the winner's bracket moves on, the loser moves to the loser bracket. If a team loses twice it is out. In the finals, the winner of the winners bracket faces the winner of the losers bracket. The championship match is best of 5, with an additional best of 3, if the team from the Losers bracket wins the first best of 5.
Each round will have a drop dec, which will be based on a random ordering of the 5 drop decs used during the season. See below for the drop decs.

Modifcation of game files:
Changes permitted--
Draw distance: (e.g. e_MaxViewDistance = 1990
e_MaxViewDistSpecLerp = 1
e_ViewDistRatioCustom = 100)
Time to zoom: (e.g. gp_mech_view_zoom_transitiontime = 0.05)
Keybindings
Field of View: http://mwomercs.com/...f-being-a-mech/
Mouse sensitivity, smooth, accel: http://mwomercs.com/...se-sensitivity/

Changes not permitted--
Removing trees
Changing thermal or night vision settings
Removal of film grain
Enhanced zoom fidelity (i.e. clarity)
Aimbots

In addition, players must meet MWO's Terms of Use & Code of Conduct. See: https://mwomercs.com/terms and http://mwomercs.com/conduct

If players wish to make changes, and are not sure if they are allowed, please contact me. If allowed, I will publicly post so, and I will include what is needed so that other players can easily make the changes as well.

Drops won - Drops lost (only drops that led up to a victory or tie were counted, thus if a team won 3-1, but played 1 extra drops and it was say 4-1, only the 3-1 counted to the total).

Looking forward to seeing the outcome of the first season. I have played with and against most the teams in the playoffs. Should prove for some interesting and very competitive matches. I know that I personally would like to watch many of these matches so hopefully we will get a few streams up.

Good luck to all the teams involved and congratulations to all teams who made the first season a success.

Haha, exactly. Only I'd call it Mech Madness or something.

Steel Jaguar plans to play DV8 around 9:15 pm est on Thursday (3/14). We will be streaming at twitch.tv/RunHotorDie

If plans change I'll update here. I'll probably make a separate post about it as time nears.

Can't wait to see the stream, should be some nice matches. I will throw caution to the wind and record our drops in the spirit of the tournament.

This stream was one of the best things that has happened in the competitive scene of RHoD It drew a lot of attention to RHoD, much needed. I was able to get NGNG to **** it out and I think that SJR needs to reach out to Bryan Ekman to **** it out a bit more on PGI's end.

Yeah it was REALLY last minute. It was working so that was the fundamental part. I didn't really have time to experiment with settings. It was a stream of a stream so the video you saw got double compressed, which turned it into MechCraft. I'm sure we can improve things in the future.

If they watch it, they're going to be met with a stream of f-words. I was kind of surprised at how many I dropped in the 50 minutes leading up to the first game. Not that I'm apologizing for my material, however :P.

If we use something like XSplit to import the stream instead of screen capturing the video, we should be able to up the quality. The other thing is my upload speed is a little bit low so my stream is always has a slightly hitchy quality. My apologies for that, viewers. Only a couple of us in SJR are capable of streaming with no performance loss ... and, of course, no one can afford performance loss during Playoffs ... and it was so ad-hoc that we didn't have time to get Az0r's stream set up for it. So, you were stuck with my terribad 2mbps upload speed.

In SJR's subsequent matches hopefully we will be able to offer more angles/viewpoints.

Just watched the matches now, great games was awesome viewing!

The quality was not great but I have seen far worse tbh. I could easily follow what was happening.

Great commentating too, man we need more of this and to get it our to the greater community at large :P
