Previously, weapon cooldown would not start until the weapon finished firing (e.g. 4 seconds in between Medium Laser salvos).

This was most obvious when using SRMs in a 'Mech with a NARC beacon hardpoint. For example, 2 SSRMs on a Raven would start firing out of sync pretty quickly.

However, now the weapon cooldown starts the moment the weapon is fired. This means it now takes 3 seconds between Medium laser salvos, 3.25 seconds between large laser salvos...

It's most obvious when firing an LRM20 out of a NARC hardpoint. You can now keep up a constant stream of single LRMs.

Basically, any weapon that takes time to fully discharge the salvo is affected. All lasers and any missiles fired out of fewer tubes than the launcher needs.

I don't know if this is intended, but it changes the balance in favour of energy weapons and missiles.
