i notice lately that i m getting hits even when i have successfully dodged behind a hill or building. the clearest example i can give is me jumping and jetting over a mech, seeing his lasers fire into the ground but my torso registering multiple hits.
has anyone else experienced this?

It is because of the difference between where your Mech was from the prospective of the firer's computer and that of yours with the server between and the lag times for data transfer across the net.
I have taken several hits I never saw or that looked like misses in my Jenner. Some of them were dual AC 20 hits that cored me.
For quite a while people were seeing "hits" that actually did not affect you. So now they are more often getting what they should based on what their computer is showing them. Just something we light pilots will have to deal with.

Yes, getting hit by lasers 4-5 mech lengths behind me, (yay for the Catapult, I can look behind my mech as I run away)
But my ping is 300-400 so eh, My mech thinks its further forward than it is,
I also took a bunch of random hits while I was in cover (hiding from LRMs) for about 5-10 seconds, didn't cause much damage though,
no enemy's in sight,

Right now HSR only effects lasers.
The AC20 shot doesn't quite make much sense, since only lasers are effected by HSR. Mechs are still lag-shielded from ballistics, missiles, and PPC's.
