I am very much hoping we get this as a developer made variant, a sort of sister mech to the Catapult-A1.
BEHOLD! WE GIVE YOU THE JAGERMECH-A2 !

AC2's are seeing some pretty effective use nowadays, 3 or four of them in linked fire deals solid dps over frankly assinine distances.
I've ripped people apart with a triple AC2 Dragon before. You're exactly right. Link them up and go to town.
I'm thinking Quad AC2's with 2 LL for me (if I can fit it).

Thats going to be the first loadout I will try.... with 4xuac5....
I suspect it will be awful... I think it can fire continuously for less than 10 seconds...
This would also be the sort of thing you would need for 6xac2.... both loadouts are 36 tons.

Catapult A1 ... developer made? Not so fast, its an old TT design, been around for years, so far hero mechs aside I can't think of any variant in MWO that's not from the TT.

Fair point, I would hope there's a healthy flexibility in the Jager chassis as well, I suspect what we'll see are a lot of clones of the DG though...

I don't see that happening, ever. Why? For the simple reason that changing the weight and critslots of the various components would mean PGI would have to redesign every stock mech they put into the game, and many stocks would probably no longer be possible depending on which way the change went. Changing heat, damage, range and so forth has a far lesser impact on the established mechs in the lore than changing crits and weights.
And yes, I know there are people whose response to the above will be "who cares about stock mechs? They suck and only stupid people use them", but no matter how you feel about stock designs and customization there has to be _some_ point where you say "if we cross this line then why are we paying for an established IP instead of creating a setting of our own?" Changes which make canon mechs impossible to recreate in MWO is, in my opinion, one of those line.

In that pic it kinda looks like an Urbanmech that got into one of those powersuits from the Aliens movies.
