If you login somewhere during peak hours, there is so many scrubs online you will always be matched with them as teammates, no way out.
That is why I started to refuse to play during peak hours.
I always try to give my best but losing because of tards everywhere gets so frustrating that I start to rage quit at some point and that is the moment I just have to stop playing if I want my keyboard to survive another day.

Everyone who loses or has a bad win loss in that game rants on about
" My teammates always suck! " "My teammates are all noobs all the time thats why I lose! its not me!"
Yet when a guy comes in with 67% win ratio over 5000 matches and proves to them otherwise they put their fingers in their ears, and go "LALALALLA your wrong!"
I'm not saying that elo is perfect by any means. However EVERYONE is in pretty much the same boat.
Over enough matches everything evens out. The team that just smashed your face in ? Yeah, all of them will have some noobs eventually (as long as their elo is close to yours they will have almost the same experience as you)
Yet how come some of those guys can have a better win rate than you when they get the exact same noob team members over time that you do ?
They are better players, thats why.......they can carry the noobs to victory more often than you can. If you can't do that, then you are not as good as you thought you were.

Or they aren't better players at all and it's just that they are premade and using Teamspeak 3, which is an unfair advantage no matter how many excuses you wish to make.

Apparently zombies have taken over the earth and they are playing Mechwarrior Online. I know this because the match maker keeps putting them on my team. Dropping with 4 great players means you get matched against 8 good players and the rest of your team are said zombies.
That is my perception as well. Elo seemed to work just fine for the first 2 weeks. Matches seemed close and balanced and they got tougher over time. But as of late, all I seem to get are "roflstomp" matches. Sometimes you are on the winner side, sometimes on the stomped side - its a lottery really. But there isnt much in between. Close and intense matches are a rarity. I don't think the current situation is better than it was before Elo was turned on. Something went awful wrong with Elo and PGI should analyze their data carefully.

ELO simply doesn't work. Most of the matches we play are formed in the same ****** way as they were before ELO so it is not good players vs good players and "bad" players vs "bad" players, it is a random mix of good and bad players fighting each other. It results in frustrating losing streaks for one player and winning streaks for the other on one hand and 50/50 win/lose on the other hand.

This is how Elo works in nearly all team games, yet the good players still rise to the top despite having horrible luck and getting placed with bad players.

Not unfair at all. anyone can jump onto one of three TS servers are look for a group. Its not like its some exclusive club. It also has the added bonus of ...wait for it....a functional lobby.
Its definitely an advantage, but far from unfair.

When I played a Jenner which I hadn't played in ages and started in the newb bracket, I started the tourney 17-4 and was getting 700+ damage and like 3-5 kills in my Jenner-F because well in the low bracket nobody knew what they were doing.
Working as intended.
Games are only extremely lopsided when one team doesn't focus fire (or mainly uses LRMs/SSRMs/other non DD weapons or just can't aim)........or your team gets run over 5-1 repeatedly super fast due to poor positioning.

Balanced match outcomes have become rare and you cant explain that away with tactical mistakes all the time. There is a reason people make these mistakes; lack of experience being the most important one. And when they are repeatedly matched up against people who apparently know more than just the basics, it ends in a "roflstomp" - isnt the purpose of Elo to avoid this crap? If it doesnt do that, its worthless.

For the guys QQing about 4 elites+4 scrubs getting matched with 8 moderates, have you tried communicating your plan to them throughout the match? I always PUG, and if someone tells me what the plan is, I try to support it, even if I disagree with it, just because that player took the time to try and coordinate our efforts.

Nor a 250 ton weight advantage.
....of course I just got boomcat'd......27 damage. bleh
You can't account for there being 4 ro 0 ECM mechs on the other team pugging. otherwise you would only ever run ECM mechs.
...and hell with that.

I was trying not to be picky on the ECM as it is another problem in itself, but now that you mention it, there were 5 ecm, you forgot a light, i think the COM-2D who did more damage than 5 of my teammates combined.
But the matchmaking is working as intended ...
