Just some screen i put together in CryEngine 3 Sandbox. I hope you enjoy.
I call it "Rise of the Cataphract"!

If there are requests for bigger resolutions, i may grab some more screens. Right now it's 1080p. Be sure to check it out in full resolution, you may find some details

Also if you have suggestions for awesome screenshots, let me hear them ;)
Hoping for constructive feedback

How about an 3 ultra ilya that comes out of cover behind a building or something, surprising an atlas and dropping fire on him???(sorry for my english)

Cataphract murdering Raven's you mean! Because that's what a dual gauss does to Raven's!

Lighting is super-duper awesome! Do you take some design classes? Because I think this hot-cold contrast is exactly what they teach there.

Cool scene, you might want to do try to turn on AA if it's not already on.

Thanks everyone for the kind replies.
Some of you want it, so If i find the time I'll do some raven hunting (or ravens hunting), but it probably won't be the next one.

No, actually I'm studying to be something entirely different.

In the current SDK version there really is only PostAA which is not very strong.
With the release of 3.5 we'll probably get all the AA modes of Crysis 3 which will be more satisfactory in this field.

But for you I simply rendered the image at double resolution and resized the thing then.
There is also the hint of a skin, but it's pretty dark.

A murder of ravens

a group of ravens is in fact, called an 'unkindness' not a murder.

Well done! It almost looks like you took an actual 3-D model (not a cataphract 3-D, not a pun), photographed it, then added in background and effects.

I hope you guys like my next piece. A little love for an iconic mech

CAN'T HOLD THE LINE

"Why the hell would command put us here? It's not like the enemies main force could rush in through this tiny cave."

"Yeah seriously, we could be much more useful. Well that's how it is. Rookie work."

"Yeah. Well. The best thing that could happen would be some jenner showing up. Guess that's what command feared. Some pesky light messing up the back lines."

"Sorta makes sense. Got a point there, Kane."

"Do you see something?"

"Nope. Did you expect me to? *laugh* ... ... Wait."

"Hmm? See something?"

"Yeah. A little something - hard to make out... ... looks like some red glow ..."

"Ah, right. Now I see it... I wonder..."

"Oh no"

So yeah I hope you like these new images posted. If you have suggestions or ideas, or want higher-res. versions of them, just say it.

Feedback is very welcome.

All images are captured as they are in-Engine, no retouching has been done, besides adding the black bars.
Unfortunately when scaling these things up (captured in quadHD) the light flares got very ugly, I may change this some time.

An Unkindness of Ravens is a book by Ruth Rendell. A flock of ravens is indeed called a murder. The origins of this phrase come from the 15th century as a description of the sounds they make, "A murther of crows." Which later was applied to ravens as well since both birds are corvids. Juliana Berners Book of St Albans, 1486, gives the English language a multitude of collective group names. Like a pod of whales, a gaggle of geese, and so on.

It's created in the CryEngine 3 SDK, which is a free game development platform by Crytek. Here is a link. It's also the same engine Mechwarrior is based on, which makes everything very, very easy to import. The engine is quite powerful, so no post-correction on photo imaging software has to be done.

The maps are quickly created just for the purpose of taking awesome screenshots.
