every major conflict in history one side or another had one advantage or another
war is NOT fair! war is not balanced neither is life and thus nor should a Game be
read:
sun tzu the art of war.
clausewitz on war.
or just about anything written on the subject by any general with a winning record it is all the same.
it is about team work, coordination, innovation.
improvise, adapt and overcome.
like Publius Cornelius Tacitus said "good fortune conceals the genius of a general,
adversity reveals it."
its one thing to offer comments about bugs and observations with the intent of improving whatever is being looked at, but it is quite another to be a whiny little "B" just complaining for complaining sake. I have played just about everyone of the cheeze builds, AC 20 cat, Gauss cat, Splat cat, LRM boat of various kinds....and you know what? I have had my *** handed to me many times by a good team....sometimes the team who kicks my *** has underpowered mechs like the hunchback. The point is life is not fair, no game can be compelling if it is compleatly balanced because there is no thrill. The other point is a good team will kick the pants off any cheese build no matter how powerful it is. A wolf pack can bring down anything by working together. There are many examples in ancient history and recent history where the underdog takes out the big evil empire. In WW2 for example the germans to counter the allies advantage in tank numbers thought latteraly and used a Flack gun ( anti air) (the dreaded 88) to great effect as a tank killer. The Allies then had to inovate and adapt to win ( which obviously they did or your would be spreakonzi dutch) they could not phone the german high comand and say "hey you guys have an over powered gun that was not supposed to be used as a anti tank weapon thats not fair can you stop using it please" so lets all remember this is an open BETA not an ALPHA and we should help the dev by being happy that this game is here at all. Salute......
