ok this thread is for all who think Alpine Peaks has lack the right stuff and this map and other large maps that will be added should have something more then just endless gound

i think the Conquest mode really doesn't fit with this map at all or this mode must be readjusted for these kind of huge maps

my point is

- its ultra big for Asault mechs but still no big deal for lights result those light mechs can run all bases in 5 min but other team if dont get a light mech then they will get to one by that time other team is almost done winig and its over for them from star.

sugestion
if you increase the size of map balance the rest of peremeters with it which makes more sense then ditching us in unbalanced matches

- increase the team size (heard its in progess) 20 vs 20 is a must for this one
- increase the Cap points limit 750 is a joke for this map increase to 1800 - 2000.
- for asault mode capture time should be increased like doulbe time then normal maps.

this map is so big we wont climb over one hill untill the base is completly lost forget about tactics people have to leave the base camping at base just to defend isnt a tactics

if these change are not made or any better solution i will remove the map from my game folder simply because its not worth playing like this.

20 v 20 is severely outside the design parameters of the game. 8 v 8 works and I could see 12 v 12 being practical, but 20 v 20 is just silly.

Cap limits of 750 is ideal. It means the match is over quickly, which given the fact that awards are match based and not time based is ideal.

Increasing the time limit would suck. I personally, would be incredibly pissed off if I ended up on Alpine with all of these match extending parameters.

Assaults should be slow as snot and have limited appeal on Alpine, they wtfbbq dominate (RVN-3L excluded) on all the other maps.

Happy to not see you on Alpine - door is that way.

Mhh ...

The Idea to increase the time to capture is a good one. But it should be increased in general to stop cap-races.

you missed the point of inceasing Cap points from 750 its not inceasing time lmit to 30 minuits but its for letting both teams get enough chance to get the bases in time , its technically impossible to fight and defend all the pacles again lights u cant catch them and u cant defend againt big ones same time and mostly i see one side not having any lights and other is like 3 lights with ecms and game is obvious there [onesided]

i had another idea when more mechs start cap the overall rate of cap should be droped not addedup like this

1+1+1 = 3 no but 1+ 0.75 + 0.25= 2 speed more like reasonable or any kind of such logic

this means more mechs will not linearly add speed just 20-50% more speed and more mechs should mean less added time becuase here everyone makes a train to the base and its pretty hard to stop them the mechs are simply too slow to turn back and cap speed is way too high

This is the danger of using Assault mechs and just might be why people are constantly saying "medium mechs are the work horse of the innersphere"... I mean, just maybe.

dont understand what you meant by that do you think we should play more medium mechs then asault well its MM job to make a team balanced not indivisual players

Agreed, but Match Maker can only work with what it is given. If everyone is dropping in RVN-3L and AS7-D-DC then you won't see many medium mechs on the field.

Additionally, there's this concept of defending your resources. You know you're more than welcome to park your Assault mech at the collector even after you've taken control of it to defend it from the other team?

defedning how its like 2 square km map how can u defend ur bases with one mech at every place while 3 goes for other bases well thats stupidlty since we cant fight alone in this game its totally not worth sticking in one base while lights take all beses and leave nothing
