I hope this is solved by next patch. This should be TOP priority.

j/k
Last night my group of 4 (at the time) was matched up with 1 PUG (yes 1) on Alpine versus a full team of 8. Thankfully one of the members of the other team had the graciousness to agree to zellbrigen and a duel versus me (and I think maybe one other did as well with a teammate).
Unfortunately some of his dishonorable stravag teammates didn't see things honorably and proceeded to missile boat the duelers into oblivion halfway through the duel.
The reason we are seeing empty slots--at least partially why, is due to people deleting maps to avoid playing on them (a known exploit that should be a bannable offense).

They won't ban people for it. They'd void 1/3 of their "dedicated player base" who are whiners. ie. cReddit not liking Alpine because they are brawler babies and can't adapt to map conditions, but that is neither here nor there!
Play the game. The game is starting to turn into soccer tears and fake flops as a valued skill set encouraged by some of the larger "more skilled professional" units.
Some of those guys would hack checkers if they could.

Seen this quite a lot lately too. People really use too much energy to game a GAME. I would not put in my CV a mention of being a "pro dude" in some online game

I think I've figured it out. I'm being paid back for the one time I cheated at Monopoly when I was eight years old versus my babysitter. I'd put the dice in my hands and then feel for double sixes (or whatever I needed) and carefully dropped them on the board.
You are all suffering now as a result of my momentary transgression!

Forethought is a wonderful thing. If you can't out think the hacking, grinchy, greebly gaming the game gamers, you need to find people to join your team who can or reach out to the community and give MC or C-Bill awards to those who find ways to ruin the experience for everyone else.
You have your own virtual currency, use it as a reward.
I'd even go so far so to have a set basic reward package for reporting abusive behaviour that actually results in warnings or infractions on other players. ie. Racism and any other hurtful, hateful behaviour that sets out to abuse a customer of their product.
Make it something low.
100 MC
100k C-Bills

That would be coding that improved the game and not stack the MC cosmetic cockpit store with things like garter belts, Pokemon or UrbanMechs with Turbans instead of tophats.

I have to say that my team did exceptionally well taking down 4 mechs before the remaining 4 won.

People all know who they see on various maps. One of the advantages of ELO is that as you go up the ladder, you are matched against smaller and smaller pools of players. You will know who has axed maps.
Already, I refuse to play in teams with a certain known disconnect to preserve KDR type (who admitted it on forums), and other unsavoury types.Even without name and shame, names associated with bad behaviour get around.
It may be PGI is going to try and stop this. For our part, all we can do is not emulate such behaviour, and play the game as intended without cheap tricks.
Just because others lack honour, does not mean we should lower our own standards of behaviour.

Does it even show a disconnect?
Certain units have been using it in scheduled matches to avoid maps they dislike due to their brawler builds.

I get the same problem. But that is all part of the game, isn't it?
These people who mess with the code to stroke their own epeen are the lowest of the low on the internet.
The are a lot of good ideas on this thread to try and stop them. I also hope they shut them out from playing the clans, when the time comes. I would love to see the forum rage from them when they can't get the clan side of the game to work...Better than Raven tears!

I'm sure pgi have heard this before so... would it be alright if this thread went to patch feedback forums?
