the game actually still responds during the freeze. accdg to my teammate i was still firing my weapons on a stalker when my game froze as i was clicking the weapon groups like crazy during the freeze. i had no choice but to end it with task manager after the stalker died tho. back in the day alt+tabbing during the freeze would work and unfroze the game. now that rarely happens.

Weird thing is, in task manager shows game still running and not crashed. I have a 40ping as i live in Canada. ATI drivers up to date.

Alt-Tab and opening taskmanager only helps 1/3 of the time.

Alt-tab doesn't work when this happens, only ctr-alt-del. And switching back to the game never worked.

Was getting ALOT of game lockups too. What I did was enable v-sync AND reduce my systems overclock. Set the multiplier at 38x on my 2500K. it's stable now.

To do this:
1.Go to your Mechwarrior Online root folder.
2. Open up the "user.cfg" CFG file.
3. Type in (without quotations marks of course ): sys_MaxFPS = 45
4. Save file.
Your framerate will now be limited to 45 fps, you can see this by hitting F9 and in the top left-hand corner of the screen will be diagnostic information, including your framerate. Oddly, the framerate will say something like 47.6 ( you'll see), but regardless your framerate will be limited.
Somehow this fixes the issue outright, but clearly this is a highly undesirable workaround for those with high-end PCs, whose hardware is being artificially limited.
This glitch has been around far too long Piranha, please sort it out.

I'll give it a go thanks. It's a recent issue atleast for me and its ruining the game for me.
