a) set in game incremental heat penalty coefficient for concurrent same weapon shots (alpha strike) - solve "boating"
more high heat of concurrent shots weapons installed in one critical space too

:( some mech have special set this heat penalty - for ex. true laser boat - Hunchback 4P or PPC-boat Awesome -8Q (and other canonical mechs)))

c) add new module for decrease heat penalty

d) forget all of i say and play at current stage

I don't think this would make anything more diverse. You would only shift from the current builds to a few different builds. No matter what customization options you give the players, they will find the builds that pack the most punch, and use them. Even if you don't allow 6 PPCs on one Mech, you will still see the same "Best Build" Mechs, whatever they turn out to be.

You will never stop this type of behavior in a game, unless you make every single weapon do the same damage, weigh the same amout, generate the same heat, etc. Then you would only choose what color you want your lasers to be. As long as there is an optimized build, people will find it and play it, and others will replicate it.

If anyone thinks that the game can change the behaviors of the unthinking cattle slobs that do nothing but stand around, this behavior of a majority being the prime reason boating occurs, or the behaviors of those that for the life of them can't think of a single tactic on the fly, which partially bolsters the boating because that makes it work in their favor, they need to think again. I've seen enough to know such behaviors aren't going to change no matter how much the game changes.
