Occasionally ballistics / PPC's will fail to register damage for hits.

Most noticeable on PPC's when fired in quick succession. If one comes too quickly right after one that has registered a hit, the next one will graphically explode on the target but the paper doll will not flash or receive indication of damage. However, if a third is fired, it seems enough time has passed and it will again register properly.

Equip a stalker or a heavy with 3 or more PPC's, enable chain fire and notice that if two shots are in quick succession, one will not damage.

I've flagged this issue in prior patches. It was usually occuring when multiple weapons of the same type were fired all at the same time.

To the best of my knowledge it is still occuring when firing SRMS in large salvoes. I've been testing with ERPCC recently, but haven't had it occur with those.

It may help if you can cite instances of it occuring and grab images where possible.

I also noticed this in the last patch and again in this version.
I often run a CTF-3D "Douchebag-jumpsniper" 2xER PPC + Gauss. More often than not the PPCs hit and do damage, but the Gauss that hits immediately after is not registered.

Now i managed to upload a short video of it:

The alpha with SRM's not registering i've experienced that too.

I'll see if i can fraps some PPC today. Shouldn't be too hard, its fairly consistent.

There is also a thread about ballistics going through the target and that has been an issue for as long as i could remember but i thought this was a different issue as what i'm seeing is it graphically explodes on the target but no damage is given.

Some players have also said(teamspeak) that they believe after a patch the servers register hits perfectly until weeks later it slowly degrades into terrible registration. Hopefully this helps the devs, seems they have no shortage of work ahead of them, but alas, such is the life of the programmer.

experienced this last night in a stalker vs stalker duel. We where both basically squaring off and PPC blasting eachother. Some of mine would simply not go through, when the previous ones and ones after it did register damage. point of aim/location of enemy and myself did not change.

I can definitely confirm that this occurs to me with SRMs and PPCs especially. I find it most frequently occurring with SRMs at point blank ranges or during turning/twisting fights, and PPCs also on fast moving targets (long range/slow movers tends to be fine).

Had this happen with Spiders and Ravens at similar close ranges several times after the recent patch (I use ER PPCs exclusively, so this is not a minimum range issue). Prior to this, I had not had issues.

Additionally, it seems the recent patch has introduced convergence issues for me when using my ER PPCs. As an example, I was on River City and attempting to draw a bead on an Atlas cockpit at ~300m. I was in the middle of the street and gave it a couple of seconds then fired. Each shot appeared to land on a distinct spot on the CT with no semblance of convergence whatsoever. This is the most extreme example but I've had similar wonky behavior from it on other occasions. I cannot seem to recreate it consistently however. If anyone else has experienced same or has an explanation I'd be interested to know.
