Doesn't mean much when you compare a mobile series gpu the the full on desktop version. The regular GTX 680 will blow yours away every day and twice on Sunday.

I overclocked mine to just above desktop GTX speeds  about 5% core / memory.

A desktop GTX 680 can still be overclocked another 10% over stock desktop (some go as much as 20% with the right cooling etc) ... but 5% over stock desktop on a mobile gpu is pretty good.

The mobile GTX680MX are the high quality binned GTX 680 desktop gpu fyi -- same chips, same memory chips too. It's just the thermal characteristics they wanted for apple. I could build a better, faster, more economical desktop but space and looks are considerations -- money isn't.

The cpu is something I can't overclock which would give me a huge fps increase in mwo and any cryengine title! :D

She may not be the strongest, but she's built for reliability (I'm kinda new to PC language so forgive me):

Processor: intel i7 sandybridge {makes use of the cooler it came with]
Motherboard: ASUS ProGen3
Memory/ Hard Drives: 36 gig RAM (two 18-gig cards]/ Samsung 128 gig SSD drive, WD caviar black 1TB HHD card
GPU: NvIidia GeForce GTX 660 ti [PNY]
Chassis: AZZA Hurricaine
Power Supply: Corsair 660W

My wall mounted samsung 32 inch flatscreen tv is my monitor via HDMI.

Like I said, if high end PC's are exotic cars then mine's a Honda Accord.

Just put this together last week. I decided my laptop just won't cut it for Starcitizen, and I was tired of playing MWO on low settings..

  • Corsair Professional Series 860-Watt Power Supply
  • Western Digital 1 TB SATA III 7200 RPM 64 MB Hard Drive
  • Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 2133 MHz
  • Samsung 840 Pro Series 256 GB SATA 6GB/s Solid State Drive: 2x Raid 0
  • ASUS Rampage IV Gene LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
  • Intel i7-4820K LGA 2011 CPU: OC @ 4.3 GHz
  • Corsair Obsidian Series 350D Performance Micro ATX Computer Case
  • ASUS Radeon R9 290: OC at about 1100 GHz
And a lot of watercooling stuff....

Now I just need a 2560x1440 monitor as this setup is way overkill for my single 1920x1200.

You might notice that I'm missing one of the thumb screws that fastens the CPU waterblock to the CPU. It's currently being shipped to me. I checked the contact between the block, thermal paste and CPU and the three currently installed will suffice for now.

Here's mine.

I mainly use it for scientific computing, hence the powerful processor. The performance per clock/watt of Haswell is insane, by the way. I only have one 1080p display, so the 660Ti is sufficient for the games I intend to be playing. Maybe in a few years I'll get a 700 series card.
