Wife and I have identical machines, except for the case and CPU cooler, and monitors. Our office is split in half and our desks are mirror images of each other.

Intel 3770k at 4.9ghz
Corsair H110 cooler (me) Corsair h60 (her)
32gb corsair ram
Asrock z77 Extreme4
Dual HiS 7950 boost cards
240gb ssd
3tb magnetic
Corsair c70 case (me) corsair 300r or 500r (her)

Both desks have dual Dell 24" monitors on them, though I have 4x 27" IPS panels on order (we do photography and need the IPS color accuracy).

We both use crappy Amazon branded keyboards and g500 mice.

I went with the ASUS Sabertooth and AMD FX-8350 with two Nvidia 680's in SLI mode in a Cosmos III case. My system is substantially similar to Cryptic Gamer's. It was built last May after my wife blew up my old machine.

Cryptic Gamer], u got a custom water loop and only went to 4.2ghz on the CPU o.0 ? I run at 4.6ghz on air. You should aim for what ever u can hit while staying under 1.5v imo.
meh thats just my opinion :) Nice rig.

Yeah but with the CPU I'm currently running it's actually counter productive as there is nothing bar stress testing/benchmarking which really sends the CPU above 50% (Yes it is unparked also) so as it is I can run my system and every game I own on max settings without breaching 40 degrees C thus maintaining a higher probability of long term service. I'm also considering experimenting with my loop to maximise efficiency and once I have that nailed I'll be pushing it further. Though next year I'm considering Phase Change cooling so -30 degrees and massive OC's are on the cards B)

Also. Thanks, I took some time building it neat and tidy. :)

I would take a pic of my rig but its spread over a whole wall in my room, i dont got a camera with a wid enough view to picture it. I may see if i can borrow one from a family member

Try picture it in ur mind.

To the left My PC at an angle pointing away form the left wall so u can see through the side window.
next to it in the middle is my 42" Plasma TV
next to that is a small shelf with my Anime DVD collection and some models.
And next to the right wall is my 12" subwoofer form my z5500 speaker system.
1 speaker on each wall corner and 1 above my TV.
And in the middle of the room is where i sit on an old wingback chair that is in desperate need of replacing
Im about 1.5-2 meters from my screen.

EDIT: ok just about got it in picture, its as wide as the camera would go, and i couldnt do it straight on, had to go into the corner of me room lol, isnt great quality, click on it for full size.

PC: Antec Fusion Remote Black case, MSI H67MA-E35 motherboard, Intel Core i5 2500 CPU (cooled by Scythe Big Shuriken), 2x4GB DDR3 RAM, Seasonic X-560 PSU, Radeon HD 6950 2GB GPU, Intel 320 SSD (120GB), WD Green HDD (1TB), Asus Xonar Essence ST sound card, Windows 7 Pro x64

Accessories: Func Surface 1030 mousepad, Logitech G602 mouse, Apple Aluminum Keyboard, Dell WFP3008 30" monitor, Logitech Webcam C910

Hi-fi setup: Yamaha A-S2000 amplifier, Bowers & Wilkins 683 speakers, Ultrasone PRO 750 headphones

This is my third HTPC/gaming rig. Pretty fugly inside with lots of sound-dampening materials and cables stuffed wherever, but dead quiet when not playing games. Not OCd to keep it cool enough. All fans are swapped out for Scythe X-Flex @around 700rpm. The PSU fan only spins when gaming on hot summer days (yay, high efficiency and 220V power). The pics are with an aluminium mouse pad. Pro tip: Do not buy aluminium mousepads.

What I'd like to see is a custom rig with a "flux capacitor" cooling system......

Umm, wow, she must have been really angry about how much you play video games.

a side note, when you guys take pictures of your rigs and use a flash, put a single white post-it note or something similar (even a piece of toilet paper works )over the flash to cut down the reflecting light. Just something to diffuse it a little. You'll get a better looking, less garish image.

The important parts are:
- Logitech G600
- Logitech G19
- Logitech G13
- Razer Goliathus Extended

Beyond that, i5-2500, GT 450, 8 gigs of ram, 21" 1920x1080 monitor, Win8. Other than the human interface, nothing fancy.

PC
Asus P5E WS Pro
Core 2 Quad 9450 (2.66GHz stock)
6GB 8500MHz Corsair Vengeance
XFX 7850
256GB Crucial M4 SSD
2x 750GB (RAID1) Samsung HDD
Enermax Modu 82+ 520W
Cooler Master Centurion 590
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
(PCI-E U320 SCSI Card currently in storage with external LTO3 drive)

Peripherals
Dell U2713H 27" @ 2560x1440
Viewsonic V171-2 17" @ 1280x1024
Filco Majestouch-2 (Cherry Brown Switches) Keyboard
Logitech G700 Mouse
B&W PV-1 Speakers
Sennheiser HD238 Headphones
Sennheiser M@M40 Mic

We've i5-3570 and X5560 powered PC's that can run MWO (and plenty of others that won't).
She needs an update soon as a Minecraft Server + Minecraft FTB + Fraps + Audacity = 10-20fps which is no good for making videos!
I usually update something every 2-3 years and last year it was the peripherals. An i5-4670 and a H80i are hopefully next up.

She games as well so it's not an issue. She and my girls were not paying attention when the case fans failed... And Boom.

Thanks for the photography advice. I didn't now how to fix that glare. Since I am not JJ Abrams I don't need lens flare.

GPU: GTX 680
RAM: 2x4GB Gskill sticks

Pros: Its a fair beast (well it was lol). Runs almost all games 1920x1080 between 45-60FPS
