End Of Beta Assault. What Will It Be?

However, my ideal next mech is the Annihilator. Loved it in MW3. The Atlas isn't heavily ballistic at all.. and imagine the carnage that can be had with 4 ballistic hardpoints in the torso AND arms (stock mech had like 4 med pulse and 4 LBX10s IIRC). Find any excuse to run 3 AC20s (or LBX20s for that matter).
There's the outside shot the next mech is a Victor... even though the Highlander has JJs, but it would complete the energy prone Awesome (Zeus is similar to the Awesome... with an Atlas-like ballistics option), with a lot more focus on ballistics.

King Crab should be the obvious fan favorite though, especially considering FD already did his own take on one.

Lots of well known pilots, and it's used in every military - perfect opportunity for a hero mech.

Seriously, this has been my favorite assault mech since I was a kid.

Not a lot of non-humanoid Assault Mechs pre-3050 apart from the Stalker (and Goliath... and Marauder II).
Good ballistic boat with some missile and laser backup... and we're missing a real Assault-class ballistic boat.
Although if we're talking a serious ballistic boat, Mauler would be an excellent choice as well. Fills the 90-ton gap and brings a whole host of varied hardpoints.
My money is on either Zeus or Victor, though.
Zeus is iconic, has a good hardpoint mix, and Zeus-X makes an easy Hero Mech (if not exactly "historically" accurate).
Victor is easily recognised, if not iconic. It also has a fair hardpoint mix, and brings more jump jets to Assault.
edit: My bad... Highlander already fills the 90-ton gap. But there's room for overlap

Perhaps that is just me, but I can't really tell all the humanoid models apart. *shrug*

It's a great look, ugly and functional. I've built some fun variants in TT, mainly cheap but effective merc builds. Dropping the engine from 360 to a 270 (salvaged courtesy of a few dead CCAF Phoenix Hawks) allows you to upgrade the armor and weapons pretty well.
Plus the giant eye for all the PPC stalkers to aim in on!

They haven't so much as touched the Unseen/Reseen after the initial trailer; the Medium class is certainly suffering for it, too.
There's honestly too much controversy surrounding them for any company to feel safe... and you may put money on the fact that Harmony Gold is watching (after all, what else do they have to do with their time?)

I know. But still after seeing a fan art of it on DA, I can't help but lust for it.
