Now I have some complaints. The Atlas is too slow. Mine goes 64.3 kph, and it's not fast enough to SSRM circle strafe light mechs to death. It needs to be bumped up to 120 kph; that way I'll be able to lag shield my way around the map without any regards to the damage I take. If the 3L has assault mech-grade armor, the Atlas will have god mode.
Think about this: If a stock hunchback does 65 kph and a stock Dragon does 81 kph, then it stands to reason that an Atlas should do 120 kph. I'm glad that's settled, so on to my next request.
Hardpoints. The Atlas doesn't have enough hardpoints. The splat cat has 6 missile hardpoints, which means the Atlas needs to have ~9. I need so be able to stealth run behind a splat cat and alpha it in the back with 9 SRM 6, 4 AC20s, or 8 LLAS. That should do it. “But Ryan, you'd never be able to fit all that gear and go 120kph! That's madness!” Make it work. Work some Deus Ex Machina voodoo and make it all fit.
Armor: On paper, the Atlas has tons of armor. In practice, you notice that the mech actually takes damage as opposed to being invulnerable from all kinds of fire like the 3L. You see, the 3L has a shield called lag shield. The higher your ping, the higher your shield. Now this shield was nerfed since the last patch due to state rewind which has resulted (supposedly) in the 3L taking damage from Lazorz. However, the 3L has another ace up its sleeve: Wonky hitboxes. What does this entail? Well, let's say the mech were to simply stop right in front of me, as in press X and come to a complete stop. I fire 3 SRM 6 and an AC20 on its center torso. The armor flashes yellow as I burst several blood vessels in my brain while my blood pressure rises to 180/120. Thus, I am requesting a shield and/or wonky hitbox detection on my Atlas. When I get fired upon by 6 PPCs, my armor will flash yellow and my opponent will subsequently herniate one the disks in his/her back due to a sudden and involuntary fit of rage, which is invigorated as I circle strafe him to death with my 9 SSRM2s (remember my request for 9 missile hard points!). That's why after PGI gives me what I want, I recommend that everyone have medical insurance.
You know, I do just fine in my Atlas as it is. To be honest with you, after enough AC20s to the face, the Ravens do face plant in the dirt. This, however, is irrelevant as I believe that I should receive equal treatment. When people on this forum QQ about various problems with the game, PGI delivers especially when they threaten to leave or not be friends anymore. So I'm expecting to get my special Atlas, and you'll see me circle strafin', and thus you'll be hatin'.
So, I want my stock 120 kph Atlas, or I'm leaving. I'll be going to Aruba to do some surfin' unless PGI gives me the green light for some Purple Atlas circle strafin'.
