Would it be possible to have a Beginners only map?

So that newbies only, can take each other on, without being pwned, by the more experienced players!

Then when players reach a given experience level, they can no longer access the map :D

Should be linked to the cadet bonus. So whilst your still in your first 25 matches you only play against other newcomers. Matchmaker may have to fill in with lower Elo players if it cannot find enough.

On most games I think is good but on MWO it is so team work based that you need to learn in the deep end, in the same way you aren't going to improve much at LOL/DOTA by playing other noobs.

I don't know about a map that can only be accessed by beginners, seems like a waste of a map to not be used by everyone. I do think a beginner queue that only is accessible for new players in their 100 first games or so would be beneficial to let just beginners get into the game at a more appropriate pace instead of getting focus fired down by a 4-mans in their first matches. I guess some might comment on ELO already doing that, but I think it's doing a pretty bad job of it as more experienced players often see really new ones in their team to make the teams "even".

if you get 4-mans as a beginner... they shouldn´t be a problem :D

If you get a lull in player uptake then the newbie bracket becomes a ghost town. Then you have experienced players making new accounts just to play against the new players. Not to mention that you won't learn anything, that's what training grounds is for.

Since your ELO rating will adjust based on play, it shouldn't take very long to get settled into a bracket that will make sure you are challenged without getting completely rolled.

Linked to cadet bonus ^ win.

But, what about when there aren't enough players to drop?

Terrible idea. As it would ignore the ELO system, there would be the "smurfs" and players who are simply bad.

Smurfs would just dominate actual noobies while the "terribad" players would simply get booted up to non "Beginner's only" soon enough & still has to deal with the issue.

Better idea be to
1) Just have a "practice only" server where players can fight against others for practice without affecting ELO/stats while gaining a REDUCED reward (Mayhaps a quarter of XP/CBill that actual games would give).
2) Refine the ELO so that players aren't constantly paired up against mismatched skill level. (Tis kind of annoying when me solo drop and my games go like: Steamroll -> Steamroll -> Have 2-6 complete noobs on my side, get steamrolled, repeat)
