Hey Everyone,

So, everyone is "up-in arms" about the up and coming huge content drop predicted to be between March-May. From Community warfare to Clans, this year 3050 (2013) is going to be a game-changer.

What are you expecting to see at E3 from MWO's team?

I'm expecting to see more details about the Clans and Community Warfare released at E3, Starting with teasers through PC gamer mag, facebook, twitter and ISN feeds leading up to the mass press-release at E3.

Discuss!

Thread after thread clogging up the forums whining about Founder's money being spent on a "holiday for the Devs" to E3.

Calling it now.

I expect to see nothing I don't already know. Makes it much easier to be level headed when whatever may or may not be announced/shown is or isn't announced/shown.

What I say, I'd prefer piranhas to fix old bugs, add new ones content and think how to realize Clans Invasion rather to saunter at E3 :)

I expect there to be a trailer. It leads with the MWOmercs Beta logo- then a burst of fire obliterates the Beta. Cut to a ragged lance of chopped up IS mechs falling back, and exchanging fire with something in the distance while panicking loudly on their radios (big bonus points if they use some or all of the hero mechs for this shot) Then a Timberwolf sweeps over the hill, flanking them and driving them up the ravine. There, they find a Daishi, which unloads at the camera. Shift to a starmap, and several rough screenshots of community warfare, some new maps, and one or two blurry images of hero clanmechs, interspersed with concept art, especially the Black Widow, which would cause fans to hemmorhage money.

Fight for country- fight for planet- fight for the blood of Kerensky.

Even if the Clans are already out by then, converting to fully active game, announcing them and community warfare would be trifecta bound to bring in wads of cash.

E3 would seem like the best time to blow us away with info about Clans and CW.

So they will announce two new maps that are smaller than Alpine and Desert because people complained about them being too big, even though their size was in response to peoples complaints about older maps being too small... Life is a circle.

Mad cats.

If not mad cats, little paper pieces that give you a day of premium. If no paper pieces, the final assault mech. If not this, uhhh. Garth doing a belly dance?

People will complain, they always do.

But anybody who knows the gaming industry as a whole and understands even basic marketing connot deny that them NOT showing up at E3 this year would be a huge error. Assuming "full release" is slated for this year, which we all believe.

The E3 it THE trade show that all the serious gamers worldwide look at very closely, because it is the single largest event the gaming community has.

Bottom line: if you`re not at E3 presenting your game, neither you nor the game exist as far as most of the world is concerned. Not going to E3 and staying home to fix bugs and tweak is IMO the best way bar none to make sure those of us that spent money did it in vain. Of course I also want the bugs fixed, but to what end if the game dies in 6 months instead of blowing up into a money printing machine like it potentially could, just because the Devs were afraid of the community damning them for spending money on plane tickets and a hotel suite? Any rational person understands that this is a major part of business in today`s world.

Now if they fly the whole team in first class and put them all up at the Hilton for the duration of the event and 2 weeks extra, we have a valid discussion whether or not spending the money is a good idea or not.

Remember, we have a general roadmap of approximately the next 90 days from about 2 seeks ago, with no clear information of what will come beyond that. And lo and behold, E3 happens, well, just under 90 days from now. I`m not convinced that this is pure circumstance and not part of a greater plan in which E3 plays a pivotal role.

And Cairbre`s Idea sounds awesome, let`s just wait and see what we get. E3 is in June, so quite a bit can happen between then and now, all the way up to and including CW + clans, which I would regardas "full release" and the end ob Beta. In which case not appearing a the E3 would be harakiri for the game. :)

I personally think E3 is timed pretty well to be a turning point from a playable engine into an actual game.

It would make more sense for them to show up at an event like PAX then E3.

When is E3 and why do you think they will actually make an announcement more than they already have? Doubt it will be much more than a little booth and Garth showing the game to the cameras.

Not all that much actually. It all depends on how far along they are with putting stuff in-game.

That will not stop people from hyping them self veyond recognition. =P

I literally can't imagine a better way for them to do it.

Man I just looked up when E3 is because I've never been to one of these things, and it's in June. If they don't even ANNOUNCE what's going on for CW and clans by June, this game will have already seen insanely reduced traffic more than it already has. I want this to succeed as much as anyone else but CW is the most important part of the game, and we have heard nothing.
