You probably don't want to be emulating a German accent if you're not really German.

"jager (n.)
"German sharpshooter," 1776, from German jäger, literally "huntsman," from jagen "to hunt," from Old High German jagon, related to Old Frisian jagia, Dutch jagen "to hunt," Old Norse jaga "to drive, to move to and fro" (see yacht). Applied to riflemen and sharpshooters in the German and Austrian armies."
Pronunciation (in German): "yay-ga"
Depending on how German grammar works, "JagerMech" could be taken as either (or both) "Hunter 'Mech" or "'Mech Hunter"...?
The first one. "Mech Hunter" would be "Mechjäger".

I'm fearing seeing it in game though, especially if people are popping 4 uac5's. As a long range mech its going to hurt, and good shots are going to be hell on slow assaults caught in the open.
Considering its thinner armor though any getting caught in a brawl is going to get hurt.

Nope....it is about the worst artwork in the game yet. The TT version is much better looking.
Actually, I think the Jager is one of the best looking mechs in MWO. The original artwork for the Jager should be burned and never spoken of again.

Jägermeister is realy only a liquor, if there is something like a master of hunters (never heard that phrase) it would be more like 'Meister der Jäger'.
Just for some useless information ^^.

That's the wonderful thing about art. Each person has their own likes and dislikes. From my perspective every mech in this game looks like it was made in the same factory and designed by the same person. With the Jager the nice curves have turned into just another boxy mech. If we were to think of the mechs as Chevy's and Fords all the MWO mechs would be Fords. We need some variance in designs....some Peugeot, Saab, Lambogini, maybe even a VW.

The boxy/polyhedral features of the mech enhance the aggressive and embraced looks. They appear tougher and more ready to take a blow, and deliver some too.

While I don't think it makes them look any deadlier you have every right to like the style. That however doesn't mean they all have to look like they were made in the same factory as I mentioned. MWO needs some mechs that look like a different artist drew them. When they go to be drawn for the graphics engine they need to take the time to copy the design from the original artwork and not be so sloppy, lazy or what ever is going on.
